Blimey I didn't know there was anything wrong with him.
How can you 'keep' someone in a coma though

Official reports saying he remains in a life-threatening, but stable condition ...
induced coma Karma, he is a life threatening but stable condition, he has multiple fractures of the skull after being hit on the head by a spring of another car in qualifying, then crashed into a tyre wall s he lost conciousness.quote:Originally posted by Karma_:

Bloody hell Didn't something similar happen to someone else earlier this week?
yeah 18 year old Henry Surtees, he was hit by a tyre and unfortunatly he died.quote:Originally posted by Karma_:quote:Originally posted by love greek sunsets:induced coma Karma, he is a life threatening but stable condition, he has multiple fractures of the skull after being hit on the head by a spring of another car in qualifying, then crashed into a tyre wall s he lost conciousness.quote:Originally posted by Karma_:

He's probably being kept in a coma to maximise his recovery......he had successful surgery on two skull fractures. It's not uncommon to keep someone asleep in this situation, I really hope he'll be okay.
The accident was so weird....the spring just flew straight at him
Get well soon Felipe.

Best wishes for Felippe & I hope he manages to get back in a car before the end of the season. The only worrying thing is these things tend to happen threes; superstiotious nonsense I know but I hope nothing else happens. Good luck to the Doctor this afternoon too.
Is he the guy that a tyre hit him on the head last week, while driving round a track, if it isn't then who is he?

Well during this afternoon's race, the tyre has come off Alonso's car and bounced off the racetrack ....but luckily it didn't hit anyone. Hopefully there will be no more incidents, it's been very strange.

No, that was Henry Surtees who was a Formula 2 driver. He died shortly after the accident.

Let's hope that Alonsos tyre was the third part of the triangle and there are no more incidents. Well done Lewis this afternoon, a masterful performance.
