And going off on a complete tangent, is Diane being ripped off in Emmerdale?  Is he really dying or just conning her out of the money from the sale of The Woolpack?  Anyone heard anything?

I'm making up scenarios in my head now grannyg, last night when he gave the car to Rodney I was thinking that's nice, and then I thought its probably on lease and Rodney will find they re-possess it, somebody somewhere must know the truth, probably Darlo

Denise is definetly not dead, word is she will appear on the 30th which is Lucas last episode, shame because Don Gilet is a very good actor.


There will be a murders of Lucas Johnson special on BBC3 that day after the BBC1 episode too.

I also believe that Denise is still alive.  I think she must have run away from Lucas and he killed and then identified the prostitute that was in the storyline a little while back; the storyline they had to change because of the killings in the news.

I'm also concerned that Diane maybe being ripped off in Emmerdale.  I suppose we will have to wait and see how it pans out.  I've not read any clues about it anywhere.

I have to be honest though, the actor who plays Charlie gives me the creeps, so I always see him as a baddie.

So can anyone explain why, if it turns out that the body was that of the prostitute rather than of Denise, the feet of the corpse we saw were those of a black woman when the prostitute from memory was white?

You've got me there El Loro.  I'm sure your right and I'm wrong.  I couldn't even remember what the prostitute looked like!  I just remember reading somewhere that she was supposed to remind Lucas of Denise.

Maybe Lucas has killed another prostitute - a black one. Let's face it, he's on a roll now.

Well it looks like they are probably going down the Charlie is a conman route because Jimmy and Nicola buy the Woolpack with money that Scarlett has given to them.


I do like Charlie though.. Doug is a nice character but he's dull and would hold back Diane's lively personality.

You could well be right, but it may turn out to be Jade and the BBC just made a continuity error. They are quite capable of that, for instance they have managed to conveniently miss out that an autopsy which would have been routinely carried out when the body was fished out, and this would have shown that assuming the person was already dead when she went into the water that there would be very little water if any in the lungs. Also if the body turns out to be that of Denise, the autopsy would also have shown that she was strangled. Just little things like this seem to me that the writers haven't been very careful.

I thought the body must be that other girl, but that WAS a black arm in the water...and yes....Patrick is looking very shifty these days

I don't want Lucas to leave Eastenders, so I hope that if Denise is alive, she doesn't return for a few years. Lucas is too good a character for Eastenders to lose. He is an EE staple, just like Phil, Max and Ian. We can't lose him.

But what about the body count? At the rate he's bumping 'em off there won't be any left!
