Spot on, skive.

Having watched the programme I wonder how employable the so-called training providers would be if those sort of organisations didn't exist?

Yes, I noticed we were spared the hag this week.
The boss lady couldn't answer the ever so important question of "Why should they take work that you say is permanent, but isn't?"
Her pompous answer was predictably patronising "I will have to talk at government level about it" BS!!! Making out she knew nothing about the scam she is raking in.
ÂĢ700 million contract!?! Surely that should go to proper retraining and education for the unemployed? It's all so unbelievable!

One of them very astutely pointed out that he felt pressured to meet the targets because he didn't want to end up in one of the 'rooms'. I didn't hate the 'trainers' as much as I hated last week's but in many ways it was more depressing.

There was no training going on whatsoever. Those unemployed people were basically babysat in a room for weeks of soul destroying boredom and bullied into applying for jobs with conditions that would make a Victorian factory owner blush.

That lovely Sherelle girl succinctly described it as 'tedious'. I'd add shameful to that.

It's scandalous isn't it? All that money so they can tweak the statistics for the next election campaign. Not one single thought or consideration to these people's actual lives and futures.

Sherrelle would make a smashing little trainer for A4E - hopefully she'd have at least some insight into how the "trainees" feel.

I was very surprised that the fringe challenged Emma actually agreed to this programme going out - didn't exactly show them in a good light.

There were loads of topics from ex employees of A4E if you googled it but if you google A4E now nearly the whole first page is their own corporate stuff.

They must think we're stupid Roll Eyes

Some were claiming mortgage payments on second homes they`d already sold. That`s breaking the law but they weren`t prosecuted.

I don't wish to be picky but the conditions in modern-day factories are in no way comparable to Victorian factory conditions.

Yes, factory work is 'tedious' - yes it is 'boring'. I know that because both of my parents had to spend their entire lives doing it. And do you know why I'm not doing it? Because I worked hard at a poor school to get out of the loop (to be fair there aren't that many factories left where I come from because of the darling Margaret Thatcher Angry)

I'm not denying that the terms and conditions that they are trying to work people under are not wrong because I was furious at that exploitation BUT people also need to understand that if they're going to work they aren't going to be Alan Sugar and that the factory jobs need doing as much as anything whether they are 'tedious' or not. Saying "I don't want my little girl to be like this' is a bit rich if you are not prepared to show her that you need to get off your backside to do some honest work because that what your family do.

Shame they have that attitude, as did the bnp bloke they kicked off the so called 'course'.

I couldn't understand his lack of enthusiasm, until he said he HAD worked for this company before. His days were messed with and reduced at the will of the scumbag employer, who obviously uses this scam to just get day labour only when THEY require them.
So anyone in their right mind would NOT accept their working tax credits being messed about with and the insecurity of NOT knowing if and when the next days work is.
The only ones to benefit were the SCAM AGENCY, by getting a fee for 'placing' a person (that was not going to last anyway) AND the FACTORY owners, for using this convenient facility to hire and fire labour at the drop of a hat!
Disgraceful!

And just to add, these folk lose their housing benefit, free school meals and council tax benefit, when they take these jobs, they then have to reapply as a new claimant and wait weeks to get any money, right or wrong, they are better off onthe dole.

if you actually read what I am saying you will see that you are pretty much agreeing with me - I have said that those mp's who broke the law should bepunished like benfit cheats however not all mp's broke the law - some of them acted perfectly within the rules of expenses and in those cases you cannot punish them it is the system that needs to be changed!!
