I think we should both be pitied. Bless him, me puffing away like a mortified asthmatic moose, trying not to look him in the eye and screaming 'WELL COME ON THEN HURRY UP!!!', can't have been the most easy of circumstances to produce 'the goods' as it were. Disappointed

I want another one Crying (ONLY a girl though Ninja)

Ya need to spin the man milk... don't suppose you have a centrifuge... one of swimmers weighs more than the other... male / female.... but I can't remember which way round.

Suppose you could kinda swing it around in a tub, in a tea towel (like drying salad leaves)...

..just a thought!

(boys are cool too though Arwen... just different... is like a relationship with ickle boys... Nod I always wanted boys... and the moment I discovered Mo was a girl I had a pang of disappointment... but I wouldn't change it for the world now!)

Just summer holiday stir-crazy frustration - I find it hard by the end of the week because I find it difficult going anywhere with the small children and so by the end of DH's working week I've hardly said a word to anyone except in the evenings and I just get a bit down and lonesome.

It's me as much as anything. I wouldn't say I'm agoraphobic but I do definitely have issues with going out and crowds especially and people most times so I'm my own worst enemy really.

I really wanted a girl (I think most mothers do) anyhow, I had a boy, girl, boy - I really couldn't believe it when the midwife said I had a girl (there are times when I try and remind myself of what I wished for as at 23 she's a proper madam! Mad) besides that, I had a friend who's son was born 3 months after my first and she was appalled as she had 'bought a load of dresses'- she went on to have two girls after her son. Then I learned later of my Aunt who only had two sons, how she really was desperate for a girl. They're all different, our children. After having 2 boys and a girl (in the middle) boys are easier and cheaper! Nod

I've been very neat apparently - I have boy, girl, girl, boy. Equal numbers which is good for someone who didn't have any preference Smiler

Ahh, the hols will be over soon and you can get your life back a bit. Hug I can sympathise a little with you, no kids (as of 1.30pm!) but my ME means I rarely leave the house during the day unless I have someone with me so I spend days on my own in the house and rarely speak to anyone during the day. This place is a bit of a godsend for me in that respect. Hope you're feeling a bit better now anyway. Valentine

So right there - girls cost a lot more - lace, frills, ballet, etc, etc and my daughter is the most ungrateful sod I've come across as they're 'spoilt'. Even the boys notice - my hubby has more patience with her and wonders at my despair at the madam! Mad

My late Mum only liked boys and I had 1 younger bro' - who turned out a spoilt, arrogant, ungrateful, sly etc.... Mad

Swings & roundabouts in my experience. My daughter was a fab newborn.... but a toddler from hell and then some... but has been better and better as years go on. Son... screamed like a banshee from the word go. V lazy & resistant to change... he didn't bother trying to crawl til he was two (daughter walked at 8 months).... but very loving, and didn't challenge me, an easy toddler.

This is true - my eldest boy is just coming up to 12 and eats like his legs are hollow!

I've found my girls to both be very loving a cuddly as well - far more than my eldest lad (though to be fair he's an aspie so it's not surprising really). The baby is very cuddly though and loves crawling on people and cuddling them!
