My tele has died, and I've been trawling through the internet have found a LG Plasma 42PQ6000 42", gets 5/5 for customer satisfaction and wondered if any one might have a word of advice or have one.

yeah...do not own it for 6 weeks (2 of which you are on holiday) and then allow yourself top be so wound up by your 17 year old son you throw a phone and break the break which costs as much as a new tv to repair!

That's what I normally have, but this last one has been a right pain, rear projection 50" only 4yrs old but keeps switching off and going into standby, too dear to repair, so it's gotta go!
I have the LG LCD I was told never to buy plasma as they don't last as long..mines great....

I've never had any problems with mine <<touch wood>>is it getting too hot? that can be a common problem with them - not enough ventilation. Yes .. we have a LG plasma TV .... We've had it for about a year now & it's been great, no probelms with it whatsoever .... Other than that, I no nothing about the technical side of things, so you'd have to get that info from someone else .... sorry
