I think that's debatable GJ. Listening to Jeremy Vine today, there are quite a few factions thinking that NK might actually want a unification with SK.  Personally, I think that's a bit way out there. Once a lunatic, always a lunatic until someone gets rid of the lunatic, which is not in the foreseeable future of NK. IMHO.

I do think China is the key though.  TBH, they are so powerful, nothing the US or even NATO do in support of S. Korea is going to make a decisive difference.  I do wonder if China like to keep Nth Korea as it presently is as a useful tool in their engagement with the world.  Their own cash means they can exert power in a capitalist world, Nth Korea's single minded lunacy can serve as a reminder of the darker arts.
