I love the programme (and the presenter).
Just tried your link and one of the puzzles. Got two rows correct.
Tried a second and did not better, but one of the answers was BB Winners !!!
Great puzzles thanks.
Haven't done any walls for ages. Wonder how many there are now. Something always seems to get in the way of me having another go.
Seem to have missed the new series starting.

Wow, there are now 47 playable walls and wil be 77 by 20th December. I've probably forgotten all the walls I played previously.

Great puzzles thanks.
You're welcome ECThey say practice makes perfect Fluffy.
Thanks for bumping this thread, Brisket. I like playing Connect, even though I'm not brilliant at it.
It's a pleasure Yogi. I like playing too. Even when I do badly (which is most of the time) I feel that I am going to do better next time. Ever hopeful.

I just realised I gave one of the answers away in my post - sorry if you have not done that puzzle yet, but I am not saying which one (EC hopes he got out of that one unscathed).

Yup! Totally excused.
I'm annoyed that I missed it tonight - all but the last 3 or 4 minutes.
Rather annoyingly I cannot find a repeat.

Here you are. Here's a Round 1 puzzle for you. To see the clues and answer, use your pointer to highlight to the right of the visible text. Obviously don't quote my invivible text in a reply as it would spoil it for others.
Question 1 Ray Danton
Question 2 Ray Milland
Question 3 Cornel Wilde
Question 4 Clint Eastwood
Answer Film actors who also were/are film directors
Thanks for that El Loro.
How very stupid of me not to think of iPlayer.
Sadly I failed on your puzzle. (Although I know Ray Danton I was not aware that he........(etc....)
Thanks again.

I deliberately put them in that order as the producers tend to put them in decreasing order of obscurity - if I put the fourth first it would make it easer (for those who understood the connection). I was going to put my puzzle as a separate posting, but realised that my white text might have been apparent against the slightly off-white backing for alternating posts.
I wasn't too bad tonight. I didn't disgrace myself.
The contestants were a stodgy lot, though. Only 1 of them smiled.

I'll probably have to record it, but I'm really looking forward to this: last year's "Children in Need" special was a good laugh.
Apparently the "missing vowel" round will include tongue-twisters!
I watched it and enjoyed it very much.
Accuracy was all-important in the missing vowels round.
