My cats will eat anything you allow them to have! They have their own food mostly, but do alos like to eat ham, cheese, chicken paste, also chicken breast, and yoghurt...
My cat loves anything that's sweet. If I'm eating a chocolate muffin she'll appear at my shoulder as if by magic
lol I was half dreading coming into this thread.
Mine likes cheese and onion crisps

They often eat things you would never think a cat would eat.
Our old cat used to love McDonalds fries ... white chocolate, and fairy buns
Our new(ish) cat loves shreddies cereal, but only out of my bowl ... if I put some in his bowl, he won't touch them .... strange animal

Me too, having just been posting in the "tampon" one!
That's cats for ya! They want what you have, but when you GIVE it to them, they turn their nose up at it. Like 'don't want that shit thank you... not if it's not good enough for YOU!'quote:Originally posted by Poker Face:

The cat I had when I was a teenager loved salt and vinegar ones - it was my mums fault.
and another cat loved chocolate when he got old. If you were eating it he would jump up and try to nick it
oh, yeah, cheese too; Forgot that. Seems a lot of cats love cheese. Wonder why? Mine all love Cheese and Onion crisps. Have even been known to stick their paw in the packet to help themselves

Same here, generally mine won't eat anything but IAMs. If I put fish/meat/chicken etc. in her bowl she won't touch it, but if I put it in the bin she'll be straight in there and woof the lot!
Mine were not happy the other week when I gave them Asda "tiger" cat food. Looked at me like Id just told them I was gonna support Arsenal!!!!!quote:Originally posted by Supercalifragilistic:quote:Originally posted by Cheeky-Pixie:That's cats for ya! One of mine will eat anything. Curry, pasta, tatties, jelly. The other one is fussier but does have a thing for vinegar. Her faves are salt and vinegar squares and pickled onions
When it comes to proper cat food mine will only eat Go Cat...tuna herring and vegetable. Thier treat...Tesco value tinned tuna. Not Princes or John West...they don't like that
It's a bloody nightmare though isn't it ... every time I go to the supermarket I dunno what to get him next turns his nose up at almost everything these days, fussy blighterquote:Originally posted by Little Miss Spurs:

My Siamese likes human food, he loves curry but makes funny faces if there's lots of chilli in it He eats veg, pasta, rice, crisps, cereal, anything, and I daren't leave fizzy pop in a glass where he can reach it, cos he will dip his paws in and lick them!
My other cat won't eat anything but cat food though!
I used to have an Oriental cat, she wailed the house down when she heard the rustle of a crisp packet, she loved them!
Cats don't have any sweet taste buds though, so when they eat sweet things, it's some other ingredient they are enjoying

I make mine a wee cup of tea each day. No sugar and a wee drop of milk. They won't drink it out of their bowls either...has to be out of a cup with thier paw dipping in
mine loves cake. If the kids have been to a birthday party & bring home a goody bag with cake, she slinkies down the stairs & steasl the bag. Bye bye cake

awwww this is so cute! i've an image of you both at the kitchen table having a natter over a brew in the morning before work!!!
Our Chico loved Galaxy chocolate, we left a bar (big one) out one night and came down in the morning with a huge hole licked out of the middle - he was asleep on the chair looking content and sleepy man i miss that cat
Our dog used to like cups of tea and the trimmings from runner beans!!
we used to have a cat who like to eat pickle so we called him pickles lol! my mum was pregnant with me at the time and he used to guard her....died not long after i was born (not pickle related!)
when i was 4 we had a dog that loved bourbons...he used to beg for them and say "i want one" (well sort of lol!)
and my rats...well they will eat ANYTHING you give them, though my girls are a bit fussy about their actual food ...some food is quiet poisonous to them though, esp as they cant be sick, so have to be careful what i give them. good for clearing out leftovers though...even chicken bones etc

I made a lemon meringue pie recently and then went out, leaving it on the table cooling.
When I got home my son told me the lemon tart was OK but a bit bland.
I told him lemon meringue pies were meant to be like that
He looked at me a bit strangely and replied"Lemon meringue pies are meant to be like that but with meringue"
The cat had neatly removed all traces of the meringue

PMSL!! Thats hilarious! How did your Son take the news? some people would baulk at that, i'd be a tad wary but i love cats so probably wouldnt bother me that much!!
My cat Henry won't eat anything but his kibble (James Wellbeloved). We can leave Chinese takeaway or our plates on the floor and he won't touch them. He never jumps up on the sides in the kitchen either.
He'll have a lick of a bowl which has had cream in and spend then next 2 hours licking his lips and mouth after the teeniest little lick the strange boy.
He's not talking to us at the moment as he was in a cattery for the week and is sulking!

Funnily enough I do natter to them I don't even drink tea. I just make it for them and I have water. Spoilt rotten
You just can't say no can you?

He was not entirely happy
But it had been some hours since he ate it so he reckoned as he'd survived that long he was entitled to the rest of the pie.
Oddly nobody else wanted any

Mine won't touch what's not thiers. They would never jump up on the worktops or table. They will sit on the floor while I'm eating and give me the "look how cute I am" big baby eye look though....and I give in every time
I'm sure I read somewhere that cats have the cleanest mouths

Their mouths carry a particular bacteria, can't recall the name of it, but it renders a cat bite fairly toxic if they puncture skin. Hence the reason cats develop abscesses when another cat bites them.
Ohh, it's on the tip of my tongue!
Pasteurella, I think?
