Anywho, Lovefilm or Netflix are your best bet. They usually give you a months free trial which is useful.

Am I not using the right lingo

I'll have a look at those, although it seemed that the most recent films are generally not available instantly?

Well, i thought you just wanted look up some films on the internet... as in find out info, trailers etc

Anywho, for recent films there's this place called the 'Cinema' , but usually it takes a little while for some films to get released on the streaming sites.

They're naughty sites where you can watch films that are in the cinema, but I like to think no-one on here does that or watch pirated films on DVD.

not really Rawky...  we can't afford a tenner a pop to see films at the pictures!    No money that should go into the film makers pockets is saved from going in the film makers pockets.   We watch films one of three ways...  normal way - on the telly, v.v.v.special occaision at the flicks...  or occaisionally on Sky Box Office.    If its a SKy Box OFfice purchase often MrD will have already seen it online & will confirm its worth the rest of us watching, so we pay for it & watch it as a family.    He's our own little in house film critic

And I haven't advertised it...  I have offered it to Soops.

I agree that prices of the cinema are too high, but the reason they are so high is because not as many people are going to the cinema because they pirate the films, or watch them on naughty sites.

Film studios need the cinemas to make money for them but if they can't get the custom, then that affects the studios, and ultimately cinemas will end up closing down, which affects me as I want to see films on the big screen, in the way they're meant to be seen.

My ideal career would be a filmmaker, but at this rate no studio's would back me as they want films that would at least attract people to the cinema.

I apologise for saying you advertised, but I'm just so passionate about film and would be highly annoyed if cinema's closed down because of all this pirating business.

In fact..  when it was the Harry Potter films I would let MrD take them & I would stay at home... just to save money.   Likewise, the boy doesn't come when we go to see the Twilight films..

It is Ditty, not many families could afford that too often, if at all.

Poor filmakers, actors, cinemas etc. my heart bloody bleeds for them, must be having to live on beans on toast these days

Fifty quid seems steep and they do rob you with the snack Ditty

Our arrangement is that the O/H takes our la'al lass to all the girly films and I take her to all the good films Though we all went to watch Sherlock Holmes, on a monday night for ÂĢ15 (smuggled in the snacks)

There's no need for pirating.

its profiteering not pirating lol

films dont have to be so expensive

but the biggest culprits who rip you off are the cinemas with the cheeky OTT prices, popcorn and all that crap

theyre greedy

i prefered the old days

a big blockbuster

ONE screen

more atmosphere

Or food, why must people eat in the cinema?

Yeah, I don't watch that many at all really GJ, and I'm not that keen on the cinema either, it needs to be something I really, really want to see to subject me to sitting next to a load of strangers watching, rather than be in the comfort of my own home. But there are a few recent ones that I'd like to see, I'm still suffering with that blimming flu virus thing so snuggled up on the sofa and there's nothing I fancy on the telebox, until the really rather excellent Homelands comes on at 9p.m.

Off now to go and be a criminal
