Why would anyone continue to watch a programme that they loathe that much? Granted, there isn't a lot of worthwhile television aired, but perhaps you could listen to music or read a book?

I watch 2 soaps, Corrie and EE out of many years of habit. I don't feel as incensed as the OP about Kat and Alfie returning. If I really had to choose between them both I'd choose Corrie cos I love the humour among other things which Corrie has that EE doesn't. Like others here I find it annoying that EE wins the Awards that Corrie deserves more than them. Don't know whether youngsters mainly vote or watch EE over Corrie but wish Corrie actors and scriptwriters would receive the recognition they truly deserve

I dont like Kats character I am also not keen on the actress either like others above I cant believe they keep winning best soap Corrie and Emmerdale have better storylines that are believable and better actors,I remember reading that the real life eastenders said the soap does not portray them properly that is not how they live..

Excellent rant Cockney chick. I agree so much with this. Eastenders is just dire now, and the worst soap on tv. (If not thwe worst programme!) Though I admit that we also watch it (sometimes) out of habit, (in the hope it will get better maybe.) and we have it on for background noise to as there is rarely anything else on. We really should stop watching it, because it is crap.
But many people I know think its shit and yet still keep watching it LOL. it's mad aint it? Its really so bad now: depressing and gloomy with awful unbelievable storylines, and its ludicrous how everone is related to someone in the square and how about once a month, ANOTHER frigging relative of someones turns up! How it keeps winning best soap is a mystery.
As for the must be brave or stupid comments, I don't think kat slater or jessie wallace is anyone to be afraid of; Kat is simply a mouthy slapper and from what i hear, Jessie is exactly the same.
