Thankfully me & mine aren't interested in going to see any of the Olympics.

I don't agree with the way the sale of tickets was done though.   It definitely favoured those with a bit of cash..    cos there is no way we could have applied for tickets & been confident that the money would be in the bank when the sales were allocated.    Those with a bit of money were able to apply for lots of tickets, as they would be able to cover the costs should all their applications have been successful.

Then... there's the scenario, where, had both our kids wanted to go & see something & we had only managed to get two tickets...  we'd have been in the position where half the family wouldn't have been able to go.

And yes...   family of those participating should definitely have had ring fenced tickets.

I did giggle though...  my brother was successful..   he got one ticket to see something, I think he'd wanted at least two, so he could persuade some bird to go with him.   As it is, he will be going all billy no mates!

They should have just done it the ticketmaster way..     announced when they were going on sale  (ideally weekend or evenings), limit the number of tickets per buyer, & first come first served.   Perhaps selling tickets to different events at different times,
