You see there is a line of bunting over the pool at about 5m away from the ends of the pool? That is so they know how far they have before the wall when they're doing backstroke and they know when to turn, you count your arm strokes and turn over when you know you're at the wall. She said it was 2-3 strokes for them, it's 5 for me - littler arms and (much) slower speed

Oooo! Ta for that! Me? Drop like a stone on entry and bottom feed!

Coz you can move quicker underwater than on top

Oops! Sorry Saz, I didn't mean to but in

oh yes, what Sprout said They had to put a limit on the distance they can go underwater after someone did a whole length once I think it's 15m

Thanks Pam and Saz. But when I watch the amount they slow down under water before they start the stroke seems a bit sort of self-defeating! It must just be how it comes across on TV to me.

Lots.

Silver in women's judo

Gold and silver in canoeing

Gold in shooting

And our ladies pair were disqualified during the cycling.

Oh......so mostly a good day! I bet we've zipped up the medals table then! If we're still behind kazakhstan I will be miffed!

I'm gutted I missed the gymnastics though

Why were the cyclists disqualified? We didn't purposely try to lose did we?

I think we're now 5th on the medals table.

LOL, no we didn't try to lose, it was some technical thing about positioning.

I think they were too close together when they crossed the line (or maybe it was not close enough), but I'm not really sure.

Ahh! Got it now, the rider who was to take over for the next lap passed the rider who was in front in this lap BEFORE they crossed the line.

They glide through the water underwater Xochi and then they can only go a certain distance before they have to come up and start swimming
