And to add insult to injury .................despite being sooooooooo good all week and almost 100% perfect (Saturday afternoon tea party wobble) - I only lost one pound

I'm peed off now

I know that feeling. Stick with it Soozy, the weight will eventually shift.

I must admit my weight loss is much slower this time, i wonder if it has anything to do with being older.

Why are you so negative about these Olympics?

You're getting on my nerves if I'm honest - if there was ever an opportunity for people to have something to be proud of this is it. Sad to say there are probably a lot like you - I'm sure we'll get more than enough criticism from other countries - from where I'm sitting as far as Olympic games go - we're doing fine so far.

This is a forum where we're pretty much free to say what we like so it's your prerogative to make snide comments and digs at every opportunity.

Personally I'd rather you take your negativity elsewhere where I'm sure there are others that'll support you - as far as i can see this is a thread where people are sharing their interest and enjoyment.

Yogi I have done Slimming World before and it has worked for me in the past. TBH - most people have good weight loss in the first week - I have always got the big loss in week two so I'm fingers crossed for next week.

And yes I do think it's harder to shift the pounds as you get older.

Oh do be quiet, there's nothing wrong with having a laugh at ourselves... I've been sat here like everybody else hoping GB win in everything. So do yourself a favour and shut the eff up Don't like my posts? Ignore them.

I'm just doing it on my own, and my first week I only lost a pound and I was so disappointed. To be honest, it is still coming off slowly but at least it's coming off. Youngest son (who goes to the gym several times a week) says I need to get off my backside if i want to shift the weight quicker. I think I'd rather resign myself to slow weightloss.

Fighting for Bronze..

Right soap box time!
Dont you think that some presenters are a bit biased? Yes i understand that we all want Team GB to do well, but as the host nation, and taking into consideration we are a multi- cultural society, that maybe some praise should go to other teams/competitors. After all, we have a lot of Chinese, Ukraine's etc living here and have done for years, what must they be thinking with all this GB thing and not really celebrating talent and hard work from all the nations ? Some comments have annoyed me to be honest. Yes ultimately everyone will shout for their own birth country, but cant the presenters/commentators just be unbiased ?

Off soap box !

Skylark, it happens everytime, no matter how prestigious (or not) the type of competition. They're bad enough if it's GB or UK, they're almost unbearable if it's specifically England.

And please don't get me wrong, it's not the everyday people or the competitors, it's the presenters and the media that go overboard.

What about if it's specifically Scotland?
