The layout is fine but I'm not keen on the colour. It's a bit dismal.

I like the layout but IMO the colours are very depressing, and from a personal point of view, I am finding them very hard on my eyes....

I preferred it how it was they have gone back the way and not forward with the changes ..it is a shambles IMO

I can't do polls .............can someone do one? If the majority don't like it (I don't personally) perhaps we can use the results to press for a change.

I wouldn't mind the colour scheme, but my eyes do. I look away from the screen and I have it imprinted on my eyes, a bit like looking into a bright light. It also gives me a headache.

Dark grey and not so dark grey here...

I love the colour scheme.  I find it much easier on my eyes, and I like the neutral shades of gray - much, much nicer than the sickly colours we used to have.  I don't see anything gloomy about the colours at all.

You'd do Wagner though...

The whinging over a background is laughable. I don't mind this. Perhaps it would be better if it was abit of a lighter background but not as bright as last time.

Its depressing?? Good god... hate to think what some people are like when it gets dark outside at 4pm

I use Chrome and have downloaded similar colour scheme for it .. ages ago. I really like this .... BUT is it always this slow and cranky to load pages?

I see from elsewhere that Seattle are trying out different backgrounds on a daily basis over the next week. At the end, they will do a poll to see which is the most popular. Somehow I on't think this one will do too well. By the way this theme is called Dark Dots. If you go to the Livecloud site, then from Your Site, select Control Panel. Then from the resulting menu on the left, select Themes. You get a choice of 14 themes which you can select for your personal site (won't have any effect over in this forum). But you can try them out to see what they look like.
