I will be voting labour Me too Marg.. Dirtyprettygirlthing 10470 Forum Posts Yesterday at 3:23 PM (Last Edited:
Me too ...........Couldn't bring myself to not do so. Personally .......in my family circumstances (selfish as it may seem) Labour seems to be the best option overall - taling into consideration my elderly mum. Struggling son and family. We haven't any gripes TBH. I think the vulnerable should be taken care of ........I know that there are users and abusers of the system but .......we have to ensure that everyone is taken care of .....that's why we pay our taxes isn't it? It's up to us to make the most of the income we have left after our taxes.
A change is needed.
Any more time with this corrupt bunch of liars and bunglers in charge and we can say goodbye to the UK as even a second class nation, in 13years, good old Gordie the clown and his bunch of thieves have ensured that no one except the massively rice have a pension, and ensured that not only our children, but their children and their childrens children will be paying for the mess he has put us in.
We have massive taxes, massive spending on keeping jobs for the militant unions, who are funding and basically running and ruining the country, what little manufacturing we had managed to keep is now leaving, we have uncontrolled immigration (not that this is entirely a bad thing, as it is those coming in that will do the jobs the workshy refuse to), we have a third rate health service despite the claims to have thrown money at it by liebour,
where has this money gone? Not to frontline services, but to middle management, we have a third rate education system, we have no society (amazing considering this is a so called socialist party), we have corruption and theft from the taxpayers by the people voted to serve the taxpayer.
Tony and his buddy gordie the clown have thrown us into two massively expensive military actions, one of which was totally unjustified (Iraq) that has led to massive losses not only to our soldiers but to local innocent civilians, we have then underfunded and not provided for those soldiers to such an extent it is almost suicide for them to patrol in substandard equipment.
Do not forget that gordie the moron sold 1/4 of our gold reserves to prop up the now completely failing Euro at the lowest gold price, and plunged us into massive debt, he has taxed motorists whilst offering no real viable alternative, that not only affects workers, but has forced thousands of small businesses out of business.
We have all had our civil liberites erroded beyond belief, and had our own security and safety put at risk, whereby we all end up on databases that can be hacked and our information sold. We have the government itself selling our information so that we all recieve nuisance phone calls from "market researchers" and labour paid patsies.
We have the socially inept screaming and shouting, claiming thier benefits and refusing to work because they "earn" more than most people in a job.
We have gone to the bad old days of striking for the sake of striking that will kill off even more British companies and put even more British Jobs at risk, with the unions running the country,
That said I do not know who to vote for, I just know that if we leave the present bunch of thieves and liars in charge this country will be sold even further down the river, with no hope of recovery, and will be continue to have a violent singleminded rigid bully in charge. If I could afford to (and I can't thanks to liebour letting the banks get away with murder), I would be on the first plane out of here if these lowlifes are voted back into power.

A hate all this union-bashing. Unions are bad? Righto, then please give back all the benefits they've won for the British worker. I presume all those who hate unions don't ever take pay rises, paid leave, sick pay, entitlement to seek medical treatment during working hours, reasonable rest periods between shifts, etc.
Because without unions, you'd have none of those and would still be working in Victorian sweatshop conditions where the boss owned you and could do whatever the hell he liked with you.

I wasn't offended!
Spurious bollocks?
Why where when, I would argue the toss with you, but as you just insult rather than debate, what is the point?
As for the anti union comment, I am not anti union, I am anti union selling companies down the pan....
yes the unions have got many benefits, however, if it were not for the unions, we would still have a proper manufacturing base, Austin, Morris, MG, Rover, Wolsley, All the clothing manufacturers, the steel industry, the coal mines, all ruined by unions.
What about what is happening with the terrible unite? Wow, so good to stand up for your members, so that they can work 7% less hard on a long haul flight, but well only if they work at heathrow, where were the protests and strikes when the same deal was offered to BA staff working from Gatwick.

I am anti-governments that also sell industries down the pan... the mining industries, the railways industries, telephone, electricity and water industries, and lately, the Post Office. To private individuals who can afford to profit from them, and without any reference to the actual existing 'shareholders' of said industries... the tax payers. There is some element of schadenfreude about this for some. Having said that, I regret that, having also been a nationalised organisation, BA is likely to become some Murdoch style purge as a result of which people will lose jobs and the airline will offer a diminished service.Reference:

I haven't insulted you. I don't know your sex or, if appropriate, the condition of your bollocks. The spurious bollocks I refer to are the opinions I hear everytime I return to my hometown, a hotbed of Daily Mail readers and urban myth.

Clearly that would never happen in my home town
I wouldn't know. But last time I went up the High Street, so to speak, they were still reeling from the "Boycott Imperial Leather, it smells funny!" protests.

There was a piece in the Sunder Times which said that unions, especially my union Unite, were planting better candidates in seats and that we should expect a leap to the left. Whilst I'm disappointed not to be chosen, that news sounds good to me.

Anyway, back to the point - how opportune that the ST should discover that particular nugget right now.

Don't agree with most of this IMO Mrs T had more to do with the Steel Industry and pits than all the unions put together. she also privatised anything that wasn't nailed down. As for people wont work because they get more on benefits, being from West Cumbria and losing the pits and steel industry those people that fought to keep them open would love a chance to be working there again ! The unions fought for a minimum wage and at 5 or 6 quid an hour it's a lot more than some got when the tories were in power.
Yes lets go back to the non union days, low wages, no holidays, no sick pay, no school uniforms and oh yes no free school milk because good old Maggie even took that off the kids. I really can't wait for the good old days

Well, considering the political positioning of "New" Labour, a "leap to the left" isn't saying all that much. It's easy to forget now, but the primary reason for the creation of the Labour Party in the first place was to get Trade Unionists into Parliament...

Indeed! The baffled Tory spokesman on Question Time didn't seem to understand that point.
Ah, the days when Labour lived up to its name and representated the labourers. Instead of telling them it's "deplorable" to strike to defend their livelihoods.
