Kerching, I'm a trend setter! Did a 'snood' thing with my stretchy scarfy thingy when out last last night when it rained unexpectedly, thought I must have looked a right eejit but wanted to keep my hair dry...now I realise I'm a fashion icon!

Twas not me who once took my child to school in the 2 inches of snow, wearing a snood, salopettes, ski jacket and boots.

OMG... that was bad enough the first time I read it...   but as I was then moving down the screen a voice in my head said "and her kids are BOYS!!!" 

& who on earth thought up the word 'snood'.....

I used to have a black snood, yonks ago ,it was  rather cosy as we had a cold snowy winter that year,and it protected the back of my neck from the little neds chuckin' snawbaws at me heid!

They are becoming fashionable again, apparently it's all this '80's revival stuff going on.  I had to show Kayleigh yesterday how to wear one in proper approved '80's way as well you were my age then Auntie PinkBabe!!   I didn't tell her about the fetching pink snood, legwarmers and fingerless gloves combination I had then, just let her try and find the photos!!

They were cosy though, especially if you had short hair.  I will also admit to a black beret a la Howard Jones in around 1984, the shame!!

Oh Pinks that brings back memories, I went to a party wearing a red one sleeved top, a black mini skirt, black fishnet tights. red legwarmers scrunched at the ankle and black patent stilletoes, I copied the look from a Topshop window dummy.

Legwarmers are cool....   wore them when I was a teenager... and I have two pairs that I have had a couple of years .... that I wear with me indoor boots.

Fingerless gloves... same as above (only they are not specifically to go with boots)


Snoods.... Noooooooo!

Oh... I had my most favouritest pair of shoes ever about that time too.  baby pink stilletoes... they were fab...  I would buy a pair now if I could ever find any exactly right.

they were really sweet Saz....

but I understand the head shake...   they are the only pink shoes of any kind that I have ever liked!



Anyway... the ol' bunion prevents any future stiletto activity
