can do 'slow motion' as well by holding down the 'play' button. Just imagine Dot Cotton drinking a cup of tea...but it SLOW MOTION!!
I just tried that and it took me to my planner where all my recordings are?

Sproooot we are ÂĢ74.00 a month for Sky
But then thats all the packages and broadband included....
Ours is about ÂĢ22, that's for Sky, broadband and phone. We don't have Sports and Films though
The Sky bloke was very helpful. Just before he left I got him to fix it so the Sky box only receives and plays footy
LOL, That'll be right.........I believe they do multi room though. *Shouts on Issy*
Well we are moving the downstairs TV upstairs so I may have to consider it..
My BB was ÂĢ37 quid a month.........I took it down a level and it went to about ÂĢ22.50 I think. It's still too much I reckon
Get confused by all the remotes......it ain't easy to change channel or press record these days.....

See, we like the sports and films Rexi - but it would save us a lot of money if we didn't
We tried to get shot of the childrens channels but they are tied in with another entertainment package we didn't want to lose

I don't think that's too bad, we use the internet every single day, the TV every day and the phone calls are free at weekends (though none of us use the phone much). TBH - it's less than ÂĢ1 a day to keep the fam happy ... result

My poor family have been wanting it for years - I have always refused because I didn't want wall-to-wall sports and children's channels. Now, the kids are grown up and hubby is conforming. Done deal
I'm kindof fancying the film channel now - I might have to plant the idea in hubby's mind that he would like it

Yeah, granted that can be a pain Syd. I've got my telly remote, the Virgin box remote and the DVD recorder remote, although I don't use the DVD recorder a lot
I've had mine for just over a year now and I'm still in awe of being able to pause live TV
only thing I haven't worked out how to do is the sky mobile thingy where you're supposed to be able to set a programme to record remotely from your mobile phone - I've tried and tried and it won't work
Pengy you have to register on the Sky site for that and you have to have your box switched on when you're out.
That sounds like I'm stating the obvious but I tried to use my phone to record when we were out and I had unplugged the box....
I am registered and my box was on but it still won't work
Ohhhhh - I didn't know you could set your sky box with your mobile. I must go have a look at the site

LOL! you can have your films, but hubby can't have his sport

I've re-registered so I'll have another go at recording something later but if it doesn't work I'll take someone's head off
I have gone with BT infinity for broadband and phone.
I will report back..
LOL! you can have your films, but hubby can't have his sport
By the time I have finished the auto suggestion bit, hubby will have his films - which I will have to watch too

It only works if you're watching something you recorded, if you're watching live TV it just goes into the planner

I didn't say anything because I haven't a clue what most of it does yet but I seem to remember the Sky bloke saying if you pause it, it continues to record in the background so it's no longer 'live'. I paused the Wolves game then came back and pressed play. I must have held it to long, it went into slow motion. I bet that's confused everyone even more
If it's the same as my V+ Prom, I think it depends on how many times you press it.........different speeds

I've had this thing over a year and I've only just found that out
I only discovered Sky Anytime a couple of weeks ago, too
When I worked out how to live pause I was pausing like a goodun (think it was you who told me how to do that, Saz!)
Oh! One thing I do know...if you are recording something, you can start watching it from the beginning and it will carry on recording till the end of the show. *does smart arse dance*
If it's the same as my V+ Prom, I think it depends on how many times you press it.........different speeds
Cheers sprout, I'll keep playing with it. I was pressing all sorts of buttons today to see what would happen. Nearly blew the bloody thing up

Err! I taught you that Missy Elliot. I distinctly remember we were watching Jaws 3 and I told you to rewind and you told me to "stop being stupid because ya can't rewind stuff ya ain't recorded innit".
Then you did and it blew you away...

To be fair, I didn't know about it til Rawky said I've obviously never held the play button down too long before now but went and fiddled with it (the sky box, not Rawky) to see how it worked
I do love live pause though, any time the phone rings/I need the loo/want a cuppa I'm pausing away
Sorry it was such a forgettable experience
Why I oughtta...*shakes fist menacingly*

I do remember talking to you about it Karma, if it helps I think I was saying something about not getting stuck timeslipped behind the live TV

lol! I've been recording Deadliest Catch lately and watching when I come in from work. I can shift the speed to 2X 6X or 12X or maybe even more, I dunno, to skip the ads. Mind you you have to become proficient (sp) in guessing/knowing where to stop and play again from

LOL, ok *concedes defeat* allthough is the planner live?
Noooooo .... daughter was recording Edward Scissorhands tonight, but hubby has Boardwalk Empire on series record. It came up with an error message. Why then?? If it can record both at once??
