Woke up this morning to find the wood burning stove in my lounge had been invaded by a swarm of what I though were wasps, which had come down the chimney.
Called out the Council's pest control man, who amazingly turned up just after lunch. He has (hopefully)dealt with the invasion, which turned out to be masonary bees (never heard of them before).
There were hundreds and hundreds of them, and I am NOT exaggerating. Had me really worried for a time. Didn't like the idea of them covering my lounge!!
Only consolation is because of the pesticide used my husband will have to clear up the mess as having asthma (which I have)is a big no no as far as the chemicals used are concerned.
I hope this thread doesn't offend any animal lovers but what would you do if you wre faced with such an invasion??
