I love both those songs. She was beautiful, with a heavenly voice. She apparently died of an AIDS-related illness.

Story I heard from my Israeli kin was that she got HIV from her philandering husband. She was one of most joyous and unifying talents in Israel (she was a Yemenite Jew so she always paid homage to her Arabic roots).

I loved Ofra Haza. Went to see her live years ago - twas a brilliant night. She also sang with Transglobal Underground at times.
