Barnie many's the time you took charge of the Blackbird's wheel and steered a steady course with a steady windy at your sails.    Didn't ye say that ye were looking forward to making landfall at Montezuma's island as ye felt ye would find your fortune there?

Now Barnacle Barnie is that because ye saw ole Inky bury his treasure there???  Did ye intend to get that there treasure after ye did the cap'n in?

Raht, Ah am off to mah bed now, Ah have a verreh important breakfast meetin' with three men and Ah want to look mah verreh best for them. Well for Jake and David anyway, that Eddie felleh has no style sense at all

Ah will be back tomorrow and Ah hope that Yu Lie and Gayle Force can drag themselves away from the grog, or maybe it's each other? Ah have some questions for the pair of them.

Nahty naht y'all

Vi

Argghh!

I'm here, I'm here. You lot have questions? Ask away. I ain't got nawt to hide!

Methinks there are a couple o' questions to be asked of some of ye, as well:

Yo, Oakley! The night afore Cap'n's unfortunate demise, I spotted signal flags on the mast, and I made a note t' look 'em up (since I don't know much aboot flags, doncha know). Now that I know what they be meanin', I'm asking ye who ye were signalin', since I saw ye a'climbin' down the mast wit' th' verrry same flags tucked into yer smock.

Ye were clearly signalin' another ship to keep clear, maintain position, and stay outta th' harbor. What be the meanin' of that?? Answer me straight or I be performin' a "medical procedure" on ye.

That verrrry same night, I saw BJ sneakin' outta da Cap'n's cabin wit' a mysterious package tucked into his jerkin. He's yet to answer how he came by a key to the Cap'n's cabin....let alone what he was carryin' outta there.

I don't know 'bout no treasure, but I can tell ye that Cap'n Black stopped at Montezuma Island because his brother Jet be buried there, killed followin' a fierce battle at sea.

Funny Ye be mentioning that.

The night afore Black bought it, I be climbing the mast ter check that the way ahead be clear.

Just as the light be going I be sure that I caught sight of a set of sails on the horizon following in our wake. By the time I'd got me telescope out of me trousers it be too dark to confirm but I tell ye this, she be a big 'un! M'be even a man o' war

I thought the Ol' Cap'n be going soft, nummer o' times we went back there so he could  visit Ol' Jets grave.

Barrrrrrrrgh!!
Funny that, cos' "darlin' ol' inky" be of the mind to slap ye in irons as soon as ye set foot aboard the Blackbird. In fact his last order to me be

"Slap that wench Sliver'ass in irons as soon as she be setting foot aboard!

She be pilfer'n me booty an fing'rin' me ring!"

So it be seeming that ye weren't given t' Cap'ns Ring... Ye be taking' it by stealth

What ye be saying 'bout that eh!??

Ah suggest you pay attention in the future you great lummox. Ah have already told y'all that Ah felt ol' Inky was a swindlin' me so Ah used to help mahself to what Ah felt was rightfully mahn. Ah mean, how was Ah eveh goin' to make any money if he continued to overcharge me like that? Ah tried so hard to be discreet about it all although Ah am not at all surprised that clever ol' Inky had sussed li'l ol' me out. Ah really was verreh foolish, wasn't Ah? Ah mean, Ah knew how he liked to keep an eye on y'all, so Ah should have known he would be a checkin' on me, shouldn't Ah?

And Ah have also already admitted that THAT ring was one of the items Ah liberated.

Less grog and more concentration form you Ah think Barnie

but..... but..... but..... did you know that the cap'n had a plan to administer one of Forcey's knock out  potions to ye   I heard tell that they were going to lift your comatose body on an island cos they thought you were trouble (and they be right about that)   anyhoo they were going to sail away and leave ye there - so old Inky didn't think that much of ye did he?

If it wasn't for Forcey ye'd be there, alone, all all alone on a deserted island with only your cat to play with

Ye needn't be talkin about anyone Eave, you spent most of yer time tryin to count what was in the treasure room and admirin' all the fine dress fabrics from the luggage of the of captured nobility. All of a suddeen ye have more concerns map reading and how to use a compass....tryin to make a quick getaway Eave, or were ye planning an expedition and if so where ye be going?

I borrowed the key Gayle... due to a unfortunate hand at cards I found myself a bit short of doubloons, I felt the Cap'n owed us more than we were gittin' Now he be dead I can come clean and say I did help meself to a few rings to help me out of a situation. That be all there was to it, I felt it was owed to me and I'm probably not the only one that thinks they were owed more of a share!
