That be quite cunnin' actcherlly, I be impressed  But seems ter me that the cap'n would be dead in that plan too, what with the powder bein' under his cabin an' all. An' I be pretty sure a barrel or two of gunpowder be doin' more than disable a ship, surely?

That was a few days ago now. It was not long after that there be a great confluence of sharks in the waters about ship! Ben Dover has not been seen since that time.

All things adding together the air smells rotten when you are around Warren. I'm asking you directly. Did you have anything to do with Bens disappearance?

Pity these powder monkeys weren't see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil

however Ms Trashy  Carrie I was suspicious of Capt'n Black tis true enough.  I wasn't convinced that all was well with him and I feared for where he was taking us.  I did observe how he took sightings of the positions of the sun and the moon.  Now I'm not trained in navigational procedures, but something just didn't sit right with me.

I don't know if you realised but the Capt'n wanted to be the only one aboard who logged where the Blackbird visited hence all the silly business with the locking up of the equipment and stuff.  I kinda made it my business to keep a log of my own using my newly acquired knowledge of navigation but chose to keep schtum.   Risky but I have a very good idea of where this ship has been and where she was due to go next

The Cap'n be blind drunk a few weeks ago, Warren goes to the helmsman and tells him to change course at once and steer 90 degrees to larboard. Not 30 minutes later it was found to be we would have run onto some fearsome rocks. How did he know the boat was in danger and how did he know what course to steer? He be insisting all this time he knows nothin' about navigation and why he be demanding to ignore inky's orders, if he didn't know what he be talking about

Warren either practises whitchcraft or knows much more about navigation than he cares to admit.

I've just explained that my good man - I did it for the good of the ship and t'was risky as the Capt'n didn't want anyone and I mean anyone knowing how to navigate this ship.

don't be ridiculous young lady - I don't snoop  I observe.  As I've told you I intend to write a novel and the best way to get a handle on characters is to observe those that you meet in real life.

And on that subject has anyone seen that drink sodden saw bones Gayle Force??  Shortly before the Captain's death he asked me if I knew anyone who could replace Force as the new ships surgeon.

you don't seriously think someone of my talent would want to be a live as a pirate 'method actin' if I could observe them from the table of a nice little inn in town.

I detest being a pirate shouldn't you be asking Pantsalot why someone of such a noble birth is slumming it with the dregs of society????

Old saw bones was invited to study medicine at an Infirmary in Boston, he was over the moon until the Cap'n found out about it. Cap'n Black flew into a rage, seized the invitation and ripped it to piecesand told Gayle the only way he be leaving the ship would be over his dead body...  I think Gayle might of oblidged the Cap'n

It be a mystery a'right Vi, why be wanting to replace him if what Warren says is true, when I know he done everything in his power to stop Gayle going to Boston. even threating him the only way he be leaving the Blackbird was over his dead body.

well some of us can pick things up and some of us pretend to know stuff just because we've jumped from ship to ship picking up bits along the way - so just why don't you ever stay in one place for long???  Did you pick up some info that you tried to blackmail the capt'n with?

I've already said I'm a writer not a fighter - I admit, I'm not a very good pirate but I never wanted to be one - I just wanted to experience pirate life for my book.  And I totally refute knowing the Capt'n before embarking on the Blackbird

One more question. Was it ye that persuaded the Cap'n not to come into the dock properly? Mebbe yer wanted him ter stay away from the town so yer could blow up the ship without damagin' the town?

Simple answer to that one Vi - No! I needed to ship to be in international waters to get me purse.

perhaps we should just wait for saw bones to arrive and we'll see   cos I knows the capt'n was sending saw bones for a walk on the plank as soon as the next surgeon arrived
