oh yes, we went to ping pong with work once It was nice, but pricey for what you got, I thought
Portion sizes at Anglais are standard, after a starter, main and dessert you don't feel hungry! The best tip is that both of you order different stuff and then mix and match, but to me it was good value for money
I HAVE to try the Fat Duck this year. *drools*

Ping Pong do special deals on certain days (3 for 12 quid or summat? Might be 18 quid - can't remember) but I loved it. AND they didn't turn their nose up when I asked for cutlery cos I couldn't use chopsticks. Not like that Wagamama lot on the Southbank
See, I know B wouldn't like the Fat Duck We usually do the trying each other's thing, unless I order summat with pork in
The chinese we go to give you a look if you ask for cutlery I never do though, cos I can use chopsticks

Annoca, sorry to hear you've had problems.
I've always wondered what brains taste like.
*** hopes that doesn't sound worrying ***
And my little boy was asking me today, whether I'd ever had snake and what it tastes like.
That is a bit worrying, as we've just adopted a snake.

One of my nephews has been asking to have a snake as a pet for years... he got one finally last year. Now I've read this I won't be offering him a chianti any time soon... He's got beautiful eyes though... actually, both the nephew and snake! Reference: stonks

That statement reminds me of a contretemps between a mate of mine and his new girlfriend a few decades ago. I can't recount the details on a family forum such as this one.

..and they all tasted of chicken Sarum?
No, they didn't actually....hedgehog is hard to describe, but pleasant, earthworms are a bit like overdone and mucus-y pasta, squirrel is quite strong-tasting and a bit stringy, and rook tastes like it's been dead too long...
sarum honestly eat some normal food your descriptions make me think you are mrs bear ghryls * sp that guy who lives in the wilderness *
i'm thinking earthworms must be a bit soily too? i cant think of anything worse...
You keep the worms for a few days or something for all the soil to come out of them. I know someone who tried it last year, and they really weren't worth all the hassle, I think they got binned.
do you do the same for oysters, to fatten them up on porridge oats or something?

I do eat normal food now (mostly )All of those things were from about 25 years ago, when I was on the run and living rough in the woods...
(And Bear Grylls is a bit of a poser, IMO...)
Peewee; worms are a bit muddy; you have to chop them up and boil them for a while to get most of it out...I wouldn't recommend them unless you have no other choice
