Does anyone remember a foreign film about a telephone box that used to trap people and then they would be taken away to this large warehouse where there were loads of other telephone boxes with people in? I can't remember what it was called but it was a weird film.

I know it's already been identified, but I'm coming in late here, so please humour me...
"La Cabina" was actually a short Spanish TV movie. It was shown on late-night UK TV back in the 70's and almost immediately achieved legendary status. It was made while Franco was still in power, and its political analogies are fairly obvious and actually quite brave in that context...

The Spanish seem to be very good at these sorts of films - probably because of the Franco legacy. This is another interesting one, although the trailer doesn't do it justice, IMO...

I'll 2nd Pans Labryinth and Let The Right One in, dunno if it's been said yet, haven't read the whole thread, but my daughter recommends Gomorrah.  Don't know if it's crap, if so don't blame me but it's Italian and v. shouty, she says.

Heard lots of good things about that Brazilian one about, city of something? Was it Angels?  Dunno (apologies if I'm just repeating stuff)

Dunno (apologies if I'm just repeating stuff) I think it was City of Lost Children, great film, very old though.
The CIty of Lost Children" is good, but I think Leccy's referring to "City of God".
