I've been watching the match... so engrossed i haven't been posting

 

I have noticed that the norm today when a player gets injured and cant continue is to have treatment or in some cases just sit on the pitch until the sub is ready...

 

What ever happened to the the *get the player of the pitch* of old??
Except when there is suspected head or serious injury, of course...

i like the way they bring an orange life raft in to rescue an injured player...the only water on the pitch is the water that lavezzi just splattered on to the manager

My dislike of Argentina pre-dates the Falklands. It was not helped after Germany dicked us last time, and Mrs Jer and I were approached on a Hannover tram by a couple of drunken Argies who in broken German congratulated us on beating the English. A rant which included some rather choice terms.
However I'm sure that there are decent Argentinians who are left wing football fans with a penchant for Zappa.

OH phoned earlier & asked how argies were doing-i said 'well so far we've had 2 messi goals'

she said
