Flying - it aint normal !!!

Same, I fear being afraid, and worrying too much that life will pass me by and one day I might look back and regret wasting my time worrying.. So, since everything I've ever worried about has turned out to be alright anyway, I've resolved to just enjoy life while I can I also fear not catching the bus, so all of you should support me and let me catch it every time

YES, YES, YES, YES, YES - TOTALLY AGREE.

We have a new boss who is really shaking things up, to the point that he has disestablished all jobs in the department and made it a free for all at the interviews. You can apply for anything on any grade !! Crazy.

But his current buzz word is "I'm not necessarily looking for experience, but people with a passion to suceed in their new role".

What scares me is the current celebrity culture and how the youth seem to think being a celebrity is a valid ambition.

How they attend X-Factor auditions, but have never had a singing lesson in their lives, despite it being their "dream". Utter rubbish, Dream my a***.

Get a work ethic and learn to work for your position in society.

I'm going to cheese you all off now because my fear is dying and as I'm not that far away from it, it's not even irrational. I don't actually mind being dead, I just want to keel over with a heart attack and croak, rather than having to spend weeks or months in hospital not being able to eat or use the loo and just fade away with my breathing under enormous strain. I've been trying to face this head on, but no quack can give you a definititive answer.

On a lighter note, I HATE any jewellery on young kids.

Thanks Slim   no more though please, I voiced my private fear, but in no way do I want that to be the way the thread goes.

I hate flying too.  But I do it because it's a quick way to get where I want to be.  Short flights (5 hours or less) I will buy vodka ( 2 x 2 doubles) about 1 hour before we land.  Long haul, I get sedatives off the Dr.

I'm alright getting on and taking off, but at some time about 30 minutes later I can't believe that something as heavy as a plane cane stay up, so then my brown paperbag would come out and it all made sense.
