I also feel like a bit of a newbie here because I don't know half of the FM's now either. You're all right though, everything seems ok on here at the moment, probably just the hormones playing me up again.

I've been reading this thread and think that anyone who messed your head up elsewhere only gave their side of a silly worn out story. This is a new place and the baggage was left in the hallway never to be retrieved. Someone suggested that on the airport thread.

Queeny, I read some of it being the last day and all, didn't understand half of it, I've never been on and seen rows before, basically this is OUR forum set up by the lovely peeps across the pond and excusing your name, there ain't no Kings & Queens in here, we are all equal. I don’t want this forum jeopardised. You have to remember there were a quarter of a million of us on C4 forums. I am not a member of the Facey thing so have no baggage. Let’s enjoy our new home.

I think this is what is going to make a difference on this forum. On the last one it was faceless mods (until yesterday when they popped out and got chatty If we've got people who will talk to us it gives me more confidence that they will be able to sort out anyone who starts making trouble

Having seen some of the stuff that went on at C4 last night, I can honestly say that I won't miss that place at all. This forum is lovely and we have been made very welcome. If we want to keep it trouble free, the easiest way is to just ignore anyone who comes here and tries to disrupt that. I managed to avoid all the aggro over there and am positive I can here should any arrive. If you don't respond they'll get no pleasure from it. It's the same as I tell my kids...If you ignore them they get bored, feed them and they'll come back. I never have understood why some people seem to thrive on and hunt out trouble. Most of us come to the forums for a laugh and to chat to the friends we have made. If we all tried to stick to that, maybe this place will tick along just nicely.

I realise to some of you battle weary peeps, this must seem very naive or overly optomistic...yet I don't see why, if everyone who claims they want the crap to stop actually makes an effort, then who knows?

There is certainly quite a bit of history on the old ch4 forum you might not be aware of.

Some people don't hold grudges, they just keep them on life support for years and years.

All of the stuff that happened over on the old place is history now. We're all starting off on the same footing. This place seems like everything we wished for when we heard the announcement and from what I've seen so far it could be even better than where we came from.
