she's been missing for five days Pam....its all a bit weird really.... I hope she's ok, but I fear the worst
Me too Dame. Looks ominous doesn't it?
the step granddad seems to have given one account to the police and one to relatives allegedly, its pure speculation because he's been questioned and released. Still I hope something turns up on CCTV to prove she was alive after she left there house, must be awful for the family and especially if it's putting doubt in their minds about other family members
Been following this too, before i go off. Very worrying , i do pray she is well , and found safe x
She doesn't sound like the sort of girl who would run away. Worrying there's no cctv footage of her on any of the buses she would have used. One person's said she saw her on the estate after she left the house. Terrifying ordeal for her family
I sincerely hope the girl is found safe and well. When things like this happen it makes your blood run cold - must be a terrible time for her family.
I do hope she's found soon.

I'm surprised it hasn't received more coverage in the news, it's unclear at the moment how big the search is I do hope she is found safe and well though
I do hope this poor girl is found safe and well.
But..... it all sounds very Shannon Matthewsish - not that she's been held for money but more the t-shirts and vigil and the step-grandfather who looks young enough to be her father and who knows what her relationship was like between her mother and step-father.
I know I'm making assumptions here but there's something about this case that makes me very uneasy and I can't put my finger on why

i got that feeling with Shannon Matthews - I'm not so sure this time - don't feel anything re the family TBH. Dreadful all the same

I heard on the news last night they've pulled officers from the Olympics to help Saz . I don't know if I'm making 1000 up or whether I've seen it somewhere

Yes it was on the news a little while ago that officers from the Olympics have been called in to help. The police who worked on the Shannon Mathew case are also liasing.Such a nightmare for the family to be going through, it must be unbearable.
I read on Yahoo that too - also seem to remember reading - but I can't now find where - that police from the Shannon Matthews case were being drafted in to help
oops posted at the same time - must learn to type faster

^^^^That had crossed my mind too, Pengy.
I just hope they find her safe and well - and soon.

The odd thing is, that the police have called in the team that dealt with the Shannon Mathews case
Press team?
Press team?
think the police team Velvet....I have a awful feeling about this, as I did with the Shannon Mathews disappearance...I'm hoping for the same ending, but I have my doubts
I really hate to say this but..... it would seem this family are a tiny bit swappsie with regards to who is related to who and status in the family - the 'granddad' Mr Hazell (and I think prime suspect) who is living with Tia's grandmother and the last person to see her, used to be her mother's partner and would have known Tia really well. It must have been so confusing for her to one minute be calling him 'dad' then 'granddad' and then when her mother started living with her new partner, having to refer to him as 'dad'. To be fair to her parents, she's never been neglected and it does seem she had a loving relationship with her mother and this new partner.
I can't help feeling that Hazell is involved or certainly knows more than he's letting on. it would seem he's telling one set of people one thing, and his family something else. He said to the police she left the house to go shopping but his family said he told them he walked her to the bus stop???? A few news reporters have said that the family are being obstructive and blaming the police for not finding her This doesn't bode well
they have just taken the 46 year old grandmother in for questioning, they seem to be focusing on the family quiet a bit. I truly hope none of them are involved in Tia's disappearance

9 times out of 10 immediate family members are usually involved unfortunately. It's not looking good for poor Tia
they have just sealed off an area of the grandparents house Pengy...just been on BBC news.

That's the feeling I'm getting now. If something had happened to her while out shopping surely she would have been caught on CCTV somewhere. Poor girl.

Saw that on the news, Dame.
I'm crossing everything Yogi, but I truly fear the worst

I have a bad feeling about this.
It's looking more and more like a murder case now...very sad.The FBI state you have a 24 hours window to find a child after that it's usually a body they look for.
Forensic officers suited and booted going into the house .Sky news have said they must have discovered something in and around the house to justify removing the family..CCTV has not shown anything of Tia in or around the area.Last CCTV sighting from the shop on Thursday as she headed to her grans house. They are now halfway through the footage and no sightings as yet.

considering we're one of the most watched nations you'd have thought if she was out and about, some sort of CCTV would have caught her - the bus/tram all have these and shops and streets. It really is looking like a murder case now.
I also understand they've been searching a wooded area quite close to her gran's house
Police hunting for missing 12-year-old Tia Sharp have sealed off an area around her grandmother's home, where she was last seen a week ago.
More than 20 officers arrived at The Lindens on the New Addington estate, near Croydon, south London, and placed a cordon around the property where Christine Sharp, 46, lives.
Detectives at the scene declined to explain what the cordon was about, and Mrs Sharp was seen leaving her home with officers this morning.
But Scotland Yard said the area was sealed off as part of pre-planned search and that a media briefing that had been arranged with Area Commander Neil Basu had been postponed.
Clearing the area: 20 Met officers move journalists from around the home this afternoon
Normal: Officers cordon off the property but said that this search was planned
Media and the public had previously been able to walk past the terraced house, from which Tia vanished last Friday.
But the police cordon prevented anyone from getting within about 100 yards.
Detectives are carrying out a forensic search of Mrs Sharp's home, who agreed to leave earlier today.
DCI Nick Scola, who is leading the investigation, said: 'This morning a family member left the address by agreement to carry out a planned forensic search of the property. That search will start shortly.'
It has also been revealed the mother of Tia Sharp has now disappeared and her family do not know where she is.
Christine Sharp has said her daughter Natalie is 'in bits' that her 12-year-old is still gone, and she has now left Croydon as 'she needed to get away' but does not know where.
Changes: The press and public had been able to pass the home near Croydon, far right of middle terrace, until now
Mrs Sharp is also unsure of the whereabouts of her boyfriend Stuart Hazell, who may have been the last person to see Tia last Friday.
46-year-old Mrs Sharp broke down in tears and claimed she knew that Tia has been kidnapped and 'is in a place she doesn't want to be'.
'I donât know where she has gone. I donât know how sheâs gone. Sheâs not staying away by choice, I know this.
Leaving: Christine Sharp exits her Croydon home this morning, left, and admitted she did not know where her own daughter Natalie is now as 'she needed to get away'
Admission: The 12-year-old has been missing since last Friday after she vanished without a trace from her grandmother's home in New Addington
'My only message to Tia is that I love her. She is my life.
'I just donât know what else to say.'
Speaking to reporters she confirmed her boyfriend, Stuart Hazell, 37, who was one of the last people to see Tia before she disappeared last Friday lunchtime, was also no longer at home.
She said: 'Stuart is out doing his own thing. We've all done our own little separate bit and Stuart's out doing that now.'
Asked what he was doing she said: 'I don't know, I don't know where he is.
'Whatever way he is he has had it hard. He knows the finger has been pointed at him.
'He knows this and it's been really hard for him.
'That's literally all I can tell you.'
The step-grandfather of missing schoolgirl Tia Sharp has admitted he has a 'shady past' as a criminal but has denied he would hurt the child he 'loved to bits'.
Stuart Hazell, 37, was jailed for two years and ten months in 2003 for supplying crack cocaine after a sting by undercover police and has made an emotional plea for the 12-year-old to come home.
The painter and decorator was also jailed for a year for possession of a machete in 2010, and may have been the last person to see Tia when she vanished last Friday in Croydon.
Mr Hazell previously went out with Tia's mother Natalie Sharp, 30, and is now living with the girl's grandmother Christine.

they've got to have found something that leads them to suspect foul play - looks like the house has some sort of forensic evidence
The search was planned but has been brought forward.I think the same Pengy
On the news last night it said officers had removed items from the bedroom, can't remember if they said it was from Tia's, I got the impression they would be doing DNA tests on what was removed.

Thats right I remeber that and it showed the office taking something from the house in a holdall, doesn't sound good.Maybe that's why the planned search wea brought forward.
