I watched the first ever episode this afternoon (a recording) and was amazed to note it was written by none other than Terry Venables !

Also in this episode he didn't take long to get his leg-over with none other than Staceys Mum out of Eastenders.

Hated him doing the psuedo hard man in Eastenders recently though

I don't watch Eastenders much so missed him in it.

Only ten episodes of Hazell were ever made, should've been more but the Grenada techs were on strike and they went on to Minder instead.

Nicholas Ball was married to Pamela Stephenson which I also didn't know.

I had one of these coloured green. I seem to remember the trick was to get it to travel along a piece of taut string - it had a groove at the base of the vertical shaft... like all good toys.
