Does anyone else remember what Leeds was like in the early seventies? Stained from many chimleys, a city on it's arse, closed down arcades, buses filled with cigarette smoke. If you were a female patient you were quite likely to be touched up by a certain porter. If you were a male student you were quite likely to become stuck in a lift. Mention Man Ray to the locals and they thought it probably a suburb out by Seacroft. The nearest cocktail bar was in London, etc. I once had to be repatriated.
I see them in the shops in packs of six ............never buy them as no one else in the family likes them so I'd eat the lot (probably all at once) Same with Peanut Butter.

I never knew Leeds at all until my daughter went to Uni there in 2001. I had visions of a very bleak/depressing place. I fell in love with it - I think it's a lovely city.
