Saturday morning pictures were brilliant, highlight of the week for me along with a 2oz bag of mint imperials, great entertainment and all for sixpence!

Those Saturday morning films were in a league of there own and made by the Children's Film Foundation, a list of which can be found on Wiki if you follow the link.

Glad someone remembers them Heatseek We had a choice of two cinema's ... An Odeon and the ABC, if I remember correctly . The films were great , and we always used to go into the chip shop on the walk home and ask if they had any scraps for free There used to be a song they sung before the film , but I can't remember what it was.....Happy days .

I've never heard of a single one of those films   but then I suppose they showed different films in Ireland   I used to love getting a Cadbury's chocci bar for tuppence (my grandda's treat)

I love Radio 4extra for nostalgia. They play loads of the old radio programmes from way back when....many of which you lot are far too young to remember.... such as the Clitheroe Kid, Hancock's Half Hour, Beyond Our Ken and Lost in Space: D This morning I listened to Paul Temple . But they also have re-runs of more * recent* series , including Yes Minister, Claire in the Community and When the Dog Dies.
