I'm certain it's been done before, probably several times before on previous series. BB6 for instance.

Funny how people stealing alcohol - like Charlie - from someone's personal possessions is considered by some people as less important than cigs which where open to whoever grabbed them first.

If smokers can use cigarettes for bartering then why can't non-smokers? It should be a level playing field.

Yes, it has been done in past series, but as far as I can work out Marcus didn't take them for bartering. It seems he took them to share out when the smokers ran out. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. As a smoker myself I wouldn't have had any problem with him doing this if I was a HM.

He was giving them to Bea. Imagine if Charlie or Sophie had taken them to give to Lisa.

Are you sure? He doesn't like Bea, he was trying to warn Freddie about her. But he didn't steal them though, they were put on the party table for anyone.

He said he was giving them to Bea and Bea admits he said he had a present for her that wasn't food.

You quoted me while I was editing my post. Big Grin I went on to say he didn't steal them though, they were put out for anyone to help themselves to. So I don't understand why there has been such a fuss about them, and from non-smokers too!

No he didn't steal them. If a vegetarian took a pack of sausages and hid them would you find that odd?

Mind you, I haven't seen what is being said about this, apart from knowing she was late going, but just picking up on what has been said.
She had her packet, they all did. He even asked them if they all had cigs before he took them.

Marcus said he would not give them to Lisa or David because he did not trust them to distribute the cigarettes fairly. Maybe he likes Bea more than he likes the other smokers? Regardless, it sounds like he was giving them to someone on his 'Team', and that does not look good on him.

Who found them and what were they doing poking around in Marcus's things anyway.
They did tell us, Sophie found them when she was getting a cider she bartered some food for with Marcus apparently.

They have brought in their own to barter like Darnell did. Thats a different matter though.

Exactly....Non smokers for the main part never had anything to do with cigs....Marcus again trying to weild power imo.

I think it was the fact that he had told Bea that they were going to be a gift to her. He later explained to Sophie that he was giving them to Bea because 'she always shares her fags'
Most of the hms, including Bea felt that it would have been fairer to share them around and did'nt like him treating them like children by hiding them for when supplies had run low!

Guys i watched live feed last night

And i am not a marcus hater

But he was wrong what he did and said last night over cigs

Even bea knows that freddie as ever trying to stick up for mates struggled when bea pointed out exactly what happened.

Marcus said on live feed he took the cigs to give to bea only not to be given to any others bea even knew this was wrong, fred tried to say he wasnt smoking then but bea lisa and dave all told him he was wrong he was he had to back down,They all had a pack of fags but he was keeping extra ones for bea,he was raging he was caught out started harping on about issac stuff I have to say he was wrong
C
Whatever the reasons for Marcus taking the cigs, he was wrong, as he started to realise as the night went on, had Lisa done the same Marcus would have been first to decry her. Plus on the bartering Marcus takes more than he gives, but he is the first to call others greedy. The HL show showed be interesting to see how BB edit this

Laugh she's have to make sure it was frozen, might be a bit smelly.. s'pose she could always blame marcus' underpants though.

He also said that he left the last packet for 5 minutes to be claimed - as some sort of justifiable time period ( Confused) - after which he took them. He also made assumptions about the smokers in an attempt to justify taking the cigarettes.
