For Comic Relief David Walliams did a 24 hour marathon panel show round the clock (QI, Call My Bluff and so on.) Excerpts are on BBC 3 tonight. I have seen a little of the Call My Bluff one.
Call My Bluff used to be quite funny I recall. But here we have a man called Tim Key waffling away, aimlessly and endlessly with a manner which suggests he thinks he is being funny. But it is painfully UNfunny. Another of the new guys.
So I'll add Tim Key to the list.
(It's going to be a long poll.)

oh jees I can't believe I forgot Ricky Gervais!  Funny when he does recorded TV shows, but I don't get his stand up routine.  I just don't get his jokes

Wow I am surprised at some of the offerings here.  I am with you garage joe...Many that people have mentioned I think are really good comics.  Lee Evans, Michael MacIntyre, Alan Carr, Harry Hill and Jack Dee. especially.  I have been pissing myself laughing at Lee Evans in concert and am gobsmacked at anyone who doesn't laugh at him.  People obviously have different sense of humours.., Jimmy Carr, and Frankie Boyle are talented and funny but sometimes too controversial and offensive.  Sorry, but taking the piss out of the disabled is not funny.

And someone said they hate Morcambe and Wise!  I loved them!  And Sarah Millican too.  Who DO people find funny?!  (I mean out of the ones who don't seem to find really good (IMO) comics funny?  Because there are some really talented and funny comics being slated here....  (Well they are in my opinion.    )

Have to agree with Cordon and Horne though, they are shit, and I also rarely find Jonathan Ross or Ricky Gervais funy. And Vic Reeves is shite, and boring too.  Peter Kay is pretty good but a tad over rated...   Bob Monkhouse was good... I saw him in real life several times, when I was in the audience of his quiz shows a few times, and in the breaks between filming, he really entertained the audience.  Bruce Forsyth is good too....

While I'm at it, I have a guilty confession to make...  I never found Morecambe and Wise all that funny  The much - underrated Two Ronnies ( epecially Ronnie Barker ) had me in hoots however.

And another "classic" comedian from the past who leaves me cold is Tony Hancock. I don't understand why he is revered so much.
