Facebook - I'm not on it, still don't get it.

dont use it , too much arse kissing on there. someone posts " i broke a nail" then 20 plus reply how sorry they are to hear it. or they post"i am going to bed now" and they all reply with "good night" "hugs". yes its nice when peeps post pics of new born babys etc, but do we need to know that "jo soap has just got up and had a shower"? yes you can control what "news" you get all or nothing thats the option.

I need to know all of those things.
Also it's nice to know which Rockband or type of fruit pie someone might be.
You have a lot more more control with fb than Bebo or MSN. The peeps I have as friends are friends, what I find incredible tho' is when you see grown up women with 500+ friends I think an awful lot of that is to do with ego, cos when you look on their wall they are talking to the same person or doing quizzes all day long (not one of my friends I hasten to add, but it allows you to look at their friends list)

Facebook is so dangerous, i really dont know why people dont make their friends list private, anyone could email anyone It could be just terrible
I agree. You only have to have a vengeful ex..or a random internet loon(that would be SO unlikely)who could wreak havoc by contacting your friends.
very true I must add you as a friend|!quote:Originally posted by Garage Joe:quote:Originally posted by lostsole:

In these days of multiple and ever changing identities you probably already am one.
I tried it and didn't like it or see the point of it. I've got long term friends online and we email each other to share news, or meet up on Forums we may be on together. For some it seems to just be a way of saying they have hundreds of friends, no one has anything like that number in real life, real friends are ones you email, see or phone

Here he is Maz.. living back home, with Mrs 'Second Choice', knee deep in nappies...
Here you are.. living in another country, got a fella who adores you enough to email you his lurve for you and contact you all the time when he is on his hols in Florida and you are about to go on the adventure of a lifetime on your banger rally..
Yep.. lots to 'regret' there..
Upload loads of fabb pics of you and your fella on your rally seeing the sights in Europe.. I bet it'll make him green..

I think it's nice that some still write letters as they're great to receive instead of just Bills etc. I used to love writing and receiving letters but along came the pc and things changed, not just for me but friends and family as they got into it as well. I have bundles of letters I've kept and it's so nice at times to re-read and re-live earlier times

I started writing again because a few months ago I had attempted to write a note and realised that I had lost the ability. So lots of practice now.

I've just realised that in general the only times we put pen to paper now is when filling out forms or adding our signature, not quite the same as sharing news or our thoughts is it lol.
