BDO said earlier that Griffin is a nonentity, and of course that's exactly what he is. In a way the BNP's recent "success" is a bit like the Susan Boyle phenomenon - few could see THAT coming.

But he does have the right to speak. In fact, he should be encouraged to speak. Because only by being allowed to clearly lay out his policies, can he be shown for what he really represents. Only by debate (preferably peak-hour televised debate) can his lack of any serious credibility be highlighted.

My only niggling doubt about serious televised debate with Nick Griffin is who among the current parties would be able to take him on and verbally rip his policies to shreds? I can't think of a single Labour/Conservative/Liberal politician who'd be up to the job..........
