I am not at work today because we were expecting our new oven to be delivered and installed.

It came, it got fitted and it seems to work, but....

....it's all new and shiny. I'm scared to use it in case it gets dirty!

Yup!

Then you get all these products that say they make cleaning your oven a breeze and when you read the 'how to use' instructions they tell you how corrosive and dangerous the stuff is - so you get too scared to try it.

Response from Cookerburra:-

Thank you for your enquiry about having your oven cleaned by COOKERBURRA oven cleaning services.

Although ever effort is made to cover the whole of the UK we unfortunately do not have a franchise local to you so we are not able to respond immediately...sorry !

YOUR interest in cookerburra is very important to us and I would like to arrange for your oven to be cleaned in the near future.
We are currently taking on local franchises in areas every month and your area is high on the priority list. I will be very pleased to hear from you again in the future, however I will take the opportunity to inform you when we have some one local to contact you.

PLEASE accept my apologies and I look forward to contacting you soon.

Regards
Mike Holloway, Franchise Director

PS If you are able to get yourself and 3 local friends together on one day I may be able to organise a visit from a franchisee from another area to visit you.

PPS You may know someone who will be interested in operating a franchise in your local area . If so please forward them this web site for their interest Thank you.

Seem to be various franchises - but a good number and service I'd say for a spanking clean oven.

marvellous they can do it from your front door

The one Oven cleaner that I got and actually used and was quite impressed with was 'Original Dr Beckmann Rescue Active Gel Oven Cleaner'

'No nasty smells, not harmful...and it works'

Yes, Those are pretty accurate claims.

Well, I have made some toast and heated up two batches of sausage rolls....and the world is still turning. I might try some baking today.

Update:-

The baking turned out quite well.

Not me

But it gets cleaned once a month by someone and they use Oven Pride and/or a carbon removing product; both work well without any need for elbow grease.  Then we have a yearly pro cleaning service too where it all gets dismantled including the hob rings etc.

I'm obviously either messy or obsessive about having a clean oven

Well done on the baking, Fluffs

Why, coz you're oven is dirty or coz no one has done any baking for you. Either way - I am in your club

Don't worry. The one we've just got rid of you couldn't see through the glass.
