When I first moved to Newcastle from only Durham (just 14 miles) I learned the knew word of 'micey' as a description of someones personality. Apparently it means someone that is very argumentative bordering on mental?
chittered can mean both here.... chittered as in freezing or if someone says 'chittered like owt' means they are great, cool and relaxed.

Ah, so it isn't one of my mother's made up words.
Where I come from in Durham we use the word 'sprag' as in 'spragging on someone' ie telling tales on them. I remember being laughed at and questioned in Newcastle over that word.
(as an aside, ~mr `cinds mother used to take the piss out of how `i said school - she said I said it with a w in the middle)
