Well...I have new wee Syrian hamster,got him on Tuesday,part of my birthday present from my niece,har! he's cute a white and mink coloured red eyed wee boy,I've named him "Pi" the math sign.Settling in well,I'll hand tame in the next few days,hopefully not too many bites if any .Hamster bites are fookin painful.

We 'minded' my DiL's hamster in December when they went off on holiday. He's a wee cutie. Hope you have lots of good times with Pi.

aww.....my kids had a hamster ( amongst other things) ...they are cute
He's our eleventh hammy,my niece is 28 this year,we had our first when she was 8. though she is now living with her partner etc.

They only bite through fear etc,if you go carefully etc and get them used to your scent and gentle movements they can be hand tamed,treats etc can help.Hamsters can't see clearly more than a foot in front of them,so gentle noises ,letting them know you are approaching and of course a food treat usually works well.They have excellent hearing a sense of smell.You gently let them smell your hand etc..never try to grab them...that will scare them,then they bite.
