Thanks chuck Do you know what you're having? Good luck with everything on Monday x
ok so we had a row on friday night, followed by me crying for about an hour.
so he felt guilty and bought me a bunch of flowers on saturday,
this morning he took minibel away and let me lie in until 11ish. then i went downstairs and made sausage sarnies and as i was cooking them he come into the kitchen and said...
"I take my hat off to you - it's relentless"
YAY! he knows what i go through every single day!!! he had 3 hours of it and was already stressing!

They need that time on their own with baby to find that out, although I find myself wanting to just take her back cos I know what might fix her
i was so proud of minibel for screaming on and off the entire time!!

Hi hun, this link says:
http://www.askbaby.com/raspberry-leaf-tea.htm
Once you have reached the 32nd week of your pregnancy you could begin with one cup of raspberry leaf tea a day and gradually increase up to 4 cups or tables a day (although this may vary in accordance with the strength of the blend and the manufacturers instructions).
See how much you like it, you could put sugar in it as it's a bit tart! Build up the strength though as it's supposed to help the uterus contract although it's not proven I don't think x
I am feeling a bit naffed off
Every evening seems the same, OH comes home and takes over baby duties for a bit but she screams for a bit when she's not done that all day and it stresses me out. I can't tell whether she's just fed up with the day or if she doesn't like being without me suddenly. I need a rest from it tho Just tired, but feels a bit like we barely speak all week til the weekend when we have a bit more time together. Ships passing in the night & that.
Baby has been a bit narky today tho, should've given her more attention but so tired & crave alone time. Went for a long walk which she slept through then wanted attention when we got back but of course I'd been marching around not sleeping! Always feel am on the back foot.

She was a terrible sleeper last night but she had slept almost all day, I think she likes to sleep through the pain Yes that's the powders M gave her last night, I worried she'd choke on it! Also had to give her calpol she was roasting. I rubbed some gel in before-harder than it looks! think she licked most of it off my finger
Oh God-you mean it never ends??!

raggy. mine was 8 weeks yesterday. i didn't realise teething started that early. mine is still struggling with pooing. big hugs for you. tiredness makes things so much harder to cope with.
our little man is already refusing to fall asleep in his cot during the day. he will only sleep with the telly on. my own fault i guess for starting him off that way.

raggy you will get there but its feckin hard work.
Never had a mega crying baby so I really take my hat off to you belle.... I saying that I might be lieing to myself LOL... But this is you through the hard bit now. they really start interacting with you.
Great stuff Belle! Baby slept from about half 9 til about 8am, fab! I'm not sure she is teething now but maybe the bonjella is just helping?
She doesn't like this weather much

no, don't tell me that. it would really upset me, specially as mine has just gone to sleep. has about maybe 2 hours of sleep since 9am i would guess.
wont sleep in his cot mind, only on pillow in living room floor, face down... like exact opposite of what they tell you to do - but it's the only way unfortunately without killing him with sleep deprivation.
We've put P on her front a couple of times this week when she couldn't settle, only when we're checking her & nearby though and flip her if she's properly out for the count. It's 10 x harder without sleep, actually make that about 1000

mine is always on his front when we are awake. it prob makes it harder because he is not getting used to having to be on his back. he is so strong tho, i can;t see him getting smothered, i really can't. when i was a baby we all slept on our tums and 99.9999% survived. but don't tell anyone i said that or i might get done.
Lol, that's what my mil says and it is true, she's used to being on her back though and I'm not 100% comfortable with her being on her front, just cos of the scaremongering.
She's almost 3months old now & I put her in the pushchair attachment on my Quinny instead of the pram yesterday so she can see around, she's like a little girl I miss my baby

oooh. Hi sunnie
i have been lucky there. i was back running round the badminton court 2 weeks after minibel was born!
My heath authorty is already dealing with this and my charts state that my baby is breast feed and not bottle. the health visitors are fantasic and very suportive. my wee girl is tiny and was "failing to thrive" she was the same size for 6 months and in the same size clothes for a year I was very worried but the doc etc were very cool about and said she is fine and healthy and reasured me ... then one night she grew LOL she is still tiny and has stopped again but I am now confident she will start again when she is good and ready.quote:Originally posted by BeerBelle:

my mum had my own records from when i was weighed as a baby. my boy weighed less that i did at birth but is already heavier than i was at 6 months. i just never put weight on very quickly and she was really told off by the health visitors. in those days they were weighed in thir nappies so my mum used to make sure mine was full before i was weighed to try and get the weight up! i was described as pale, puny and undernourished and she thought they were going to take me away. just shows what utter crap it is. i am pettite, yes, but perfectly normal, healthy, intelligent and fit. [ooh get my trumpet out for me] so worry not anyone with lighter babies.
It is worrying you try to be cool about it ... ive never totally stressed tho others might say differnt ...I dont think I need to get you your trumpet you seem to have the whole brass section rightly soquote:Originally posted by BeerBelle:

Belle it's not nice, P has her second lot on Weds I am worrying already Going on my own this time since I managed to hold her last time. Do you have some calpol ready? He may wake in the night hot, and his poos may be runny, we gave her half a dose of calpol & that saw her right x

hi raggy. we gave him some calpol and he has been fine since although was quite a disturbed night, (but what's new there)!? he's been good as gold today. i think i have days sorted with him now. just got to sort out the early hours of the morning.
i am sure you will be fine with the next lot of immunisations. i think of it this way, they are not nice, but you might just be saving their lives, and the upset soon passes. I think it is worse for the mommies than the babies tbh. x

we put the new blackout blind up yesterday and after quite a fractious day, we managed to get him settled in his cot at 7pm for the first time ever. He slept until about 12.30(!!!!) of course i went to bed at 11pm because i wanted to see apprentice progs, then couldn't sleep because i just knew he was going to wake very shortly. <- at myself.
just goes to show he CAN sleep for more than 2-3 hours at a time!!

lol i'm like that with my 11 month old...he still wakes up at least twice a night (though getting better with only having one bottle normally now)
i still go bed late, then not settle cos i know he'll wake up soon. worst time was the only ever time he slept through the night and i didn't go bed till about 4am cos i thought "he'll wake up soon"
stupid i know lol

If you have a partner buy earplugs ... I did that and found out that my baby did not need feed in the night I was getting her up when she was turning over. My other half would wake me if she really needed fed ... it rairly happened... but it did, and actually once I got into a proper sleep pattern for me and i was not knackered I would hear her before him even with the ear plugs in. They do not cut out all sound they just dull it so you are not on edge... Try it once.. you get them in boots but make sure you keep track of them as they are a chocking hazard.quote:Originally posted by Darthhoob:

how do you keep your baby occupied. mines nearly 10 weeks now and according to the books he should have just 3 hours of naps in the day. so what do i do inbetween. theres only so much time you can spend dangling toys and kicking their legs. give me a clue someone!!!
Do you have something like this
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fisher...Rocker/dp/B000E5Q3OI
and I would get one of these get one with an arch with toys hanging off
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=...mat&sprefix=play+mat
also try half covering it with a blanket and making a semi tent he might love that and they sometimes nod off.

i have a play gymn thing which he didn't like, but i think i'll try it again now he's getting a bit more interactive. he also has a simple rocking chair. he cannot resist falling asleepin it if i bounce him in it. just don't want him to sleep too much in the day, cos i'm trying to crack the night sleeping thing!
If tiny doesn't like a toy I leave it a bit and give it a few weeks or a month later. Also with the play mat my wee girl was afraid of some of the hanging things so I removed them and put up other things she liked.
I also found that if she had regular naps she was more likely to sleep at night. But it is a nightmare. But they were the two things that made my life more easy... oh that and sleep LOL once you guys all start to have a proper sleep pattern thngs will get easyier and playing gets easier cause your not exauseted.
