On the old forum you replied (with or without quote) and it was added to the end of the thread, you could then hit the 'back' button in your browser and it would take you back to the exact position you were in when you composed your post. Now,however, it takes you back to what seems like random places and you have to hunt for where you ACTUALLY were.
Fluffy, when I said moving the add reply box I meant scrolling the page so that there's space under the Post Reply button. If you can see the Home/Forums/TV Shows links at the bottom, you should be able to see all the smilies. I am using a computer and Firefox so what I've said could be different for others.
Wow, fluffy, that's pretty ugly (the smilies). Can you remind me what you are using for your PC (OS/browser with versions)? And do you have the same experience on both the pc and the tablet?
I'm just testing Fluffy's last scenario...
still testing. Posting from bottom of prior page.
When I finished, I hit the back button, and it took me exactly where I was...the bottom of the prior page.
Lori, I am temping fate here but all the smileys are showing on my lappy and iPad. Just the orientation is different ie the smiley box has turned 90 degrees. As far as I can remember they are all there though

I found the same and reported it to Lori but she hasn't been able to replicate it. I have found though that if you click anywhere on the page outside the Add Reply box that the Take Action drop down list goes,
Just tried that and it doesn't always work for me. Trivial problem really tbh
Actually, I finally DID have that happen, and reported it.

I can see and access all the smileys El Loro, as my screenshot shows.

Yeah. sorry Lori, I kept meaning to post that I am on Windows 7 and using IE 11 on my pc. On my tablet I usually use Chrome and the smileys are ok. Taking a screenshot on it is very fiddly. I managed to get one eventually, but it was of the wrong thing.
Screenshot from the Armageddon thread. answered with quote from pirate's post, Pressed the back button and got blank reply box, pressed again and was now in the middle of the list of thread titles. Took me ages to find what thread I'd been in and find pirate's post again.

My opinion of the forum is still somewhat diffident.

Still early days though EC.

HI Lori - for me it seems to always go back to a point near the top of the thread. If the thread is in the first few posts it's not bad the 'return point' seems to be near the beginning of the page - but if it's almost ready to go onto the next page you end up miles further back in the thread than you were. Does that make sense?

I'm testing this again. Trying to watch every detail!
So to start with I click 'Take Action' on your post Lori, then select 'Reply with quote'. I am immediately whisked down to my Reply Box at the bottom of page 7. This is the page that your post that I'm quoting is on, currently in the centre. At this point the last post on this page is by me, replying with quote to EC.
Edit: This time when I hit the back key it took me back to my post answering EC, not your post Lori, from which I originally quoted.

Another try - and again it took me back to my post answering EC, Which was prior to replying to YOUR post. So why is it skipping over your post and taking me back to my SECONDLAST position?
