Following on from today's software upgrade there have been some changes to this forum.

One of the new things is we can follow members we choose. If you click on someone's gingerbread man you will see that there is a new option to follow that person. What this means is that if your notifications (from the Manage menu) are set for this you will get an alert and an email each time that member posts something here.There are also notifications you can set to get an alert and an email message if someone likes a topic you've created.
If you click on someone's gingerbread man and then community details you can now see that person's ranking on the forum. That's based on the number of activity points and how many people are following them - but only Social Strata know how the activity points are calculated - that's a closely guarded secret by them.
If you click on Update Profile (from the Manage menu) then on View Profile you will see a couple of changes. The most obvious is there's an Activity Stream listing the postings you've made starting with the most recent. Click on one of those will take you to that posting.
The other change on View Profile is on the right and is called Stuff I Love. You can load up to 9 pictures there to personalise your profile.
If you click on someone's ID name underneath their avatar by a posting you will see their profile. That's not new, but you now see their Activity Stream showing their recent postings. Clicking on the topic name will take you to that posting. You will also see their pictures under Stuff I Love only if they have posted any. If you are following anyone or if anyone is following you those are also shown. Click on Followers or Following for a list. Followers and Following won't appear if there are none.
On the forum itself there is a new item in the menu bar called Activity. Clicking on that will produce a list of the postings made on the forum starting with the most recent. However that seems to take a very long time to load, Maybe that's just teething problems.
There's improvements for mobile phone users but as I don't use one here I can't say anything about those changes.
There may be other things but that's what I've spotted.
