As iconic 20th century images and words go Neil Armstrong stands somewhere near the very top - fittingly.

There has been a lot of talk about inspirational people of late, but for me, this guy was inspirational. To go into space without ever knowing you would return to Earth. It must have been both awe inspiring and frightening to look back from the moon and see Earth. A real pioneer.
