And that judge is smelling like a kipper too.

I totally agree...hearsay at best and he allowed it

I find it a bit hard to believe that he wouldn't have known if she was off her face on Charlie - I don't know whether she does or doesn't take drugs but he is coming across as a total control freak.

On that note, does anyone else find it strange that these sisters were employed by Nigella long before she took up with him and yet despite being an independently wealthy in her own right, they suddenly had his credit card for household expenses?   The other thing that concerned me was that he mentioned her daughter - surely if this was the case, he'd have sought help for her and his wife???

Yep, all that! And he's apparently bereft that his email accusing her of all sorts is now in the public domain....yeah right!

Charles Saatchi has told a court he has "no proof" his ex-wife Nigella Lawson ever took drugs - despite an email he sent claiming she was "off her head".

He was giving evidence at the trial of the couple's assistants Francesca and Elisabetta Grillo who deny fraudulently using their employers' credit cards.

The Grillos' defence has claimed the sisters were allowed to spend by Ms Lawson to cover her use of drugs.

Addressing the Grillos' defence counsel Mr Saatchi said: "I have no proof."

Art dealer Mr Saatchi told defence barrister Anthony Metzer QC at Isleworth Crown Court: "I have never, never seen any evidence of Nigella taking any drug whatsoever."

Havent read about the Judge but i have say this is how i felt reading about this latest spin on it all.... a sick git trying to take back the power that he so badly craves.

Slightly out of synch' with others here: the pair of 'em are media manipulators, Nigella is playing a clever 'silent' game and managing to maintain her 'mother/ madonna, whore (Domestic Goddess) persona'  (so far) and whilst I am on her 'side' I will be interested to see what happens when she breaks her silence, which I've no doubt she will, in a series of chat shows

The man's a shitbag.

Was the private email, the thing that made it all public? because as I understand it, Nigella passed that on to her legal team and they   had it logged as evidence, so looks as if it wasn't Saatchi, that did it.

He does seem to be a shitbag though.

I hear what you're saying, she is to a degree an invented 'character'(she's quite open about how the whole Domestic Goddess tag came about), and this dignified, stoical silence she's maintaining does fit in to that persona and might just get her that visa she'll need to conquer America with her seductive cooking.

I'm sure she had a very passionate, volatile and animal relationship with Saatchi, she was crazy about his smell apparently. But when that passion turns in to jealousy, insecurity and then violence then it's time ship out. If Saatchi wants to play the big man then he's already revealed himself as the spineless coward I've always suspected him to be. The more you try to control....the less you control, he's finding that out now. Team Nigella all the way for me.

Smell of his money, more like. He's not an attractive man - scruffy and doesn't look like he even brushes his hair.
