Skylark, I have no doubt after seeing the pictures from earlier this year that he is indeed a nasty piece of work.

If he had loved her as a husband, then surely instead of knowingly allow her to give the PA's free range of the cards to keep their silence about her alleged drug habit, he would have instead done everything in his power to get her to seek help.

Just my opinion.

Cinds

I'm only just catching up with the story (hubby relayed it to me and he does like a bit of a wind up/embellishment at my expense!).

I'm still not sure how this vindicates Mr S from having assaulted his wife?

His 'camp' seems to think that it does

And yes, I'm surprised at the alleged substance she is supposed to have taken. I've never once thought she looked off of her head.

Coke is quite subtle though, particularly in those who do it every day. It could all be lies anyway.

Exactly! and until anything's proven............ but as Cinds says, surely you'd want to help someone you truly loved, and even if you didn't, discretion......some people are truly just a/holes

True, but Nigella has to take some self responsibility.

I agree.

I don't think it's a coincidence that this tale of Nigella's alleged drug abuse has surfaced now. I get the impression that Mr S was furious that he was seen as the villain of the piece in the lead up to the divorce, and sees this as a way to even the score. Nasty, nasty man, imo - and it's worth remembering that Nigella refutes his claim.

I was discussing this earlier with my daughter and we both agreed his reputation is shot, so he wants to bring her down too... if she does snort a line, take medication or drink, which she's denying. I didn't see her put her hands around anyone's throat. He always was a prat, I was totally shocked she married him in the first place.

I understood that Mr Nigella agreed that the sisters could accept a smaller salary and  thereby pay back the lorry load of dosh they had nicked off him, but that they thought this solution was 'undignified' and told him they'd rather do a stretch at her maj's pleasure, and so he obliged .

I don't see what spite was involved if that is how it's  come to court now.

Course there is probably more to the story than we know.

Exactly Yogi and Dame. He's coming off much worse. Hard to believe he was in advertising/the PR business

The drug allegations aren't proven - just alleged - but even if they were, so what? Addiction isn't morally condemned anymore - a stint in the Priory is almost de rigeur for celebs nowadays.

He's welcome to keep digging, the eejit!

FM

just to say

i dont care if she sniffs anything up her beak

she seems like a nice sort to me

her old fella looks a vindictive old b@stard

& looks like he's latched on to what the 2 italians are saying to justify spending their dosh

he obviously dont wanna see her make it in USA

and

reason i started thread was not to discredit her but cos i started one a couple of weeks back that got pulled

so as it is now in news i started another thread

i doubt me saying anything about her will jeapordise the on going case!

so this is just to say i like her & her old fella should be grateful he pulled a domestic goddess in the first place & belt up

Pirate, I don't think anyone though you started the thread to discredit her

I agree with Skylark.... I would be able to spot a habitual cocaine user from 50 yards if like he said she was off her head every day all through the marriage, did he think she had a permanent cold for ten years  he said he only found out this year, although these accusations have just came about now after the two that are accused admitted the offence in 2012 with no mention of Nigella.
