I LOVE Grosse Point Blank Subby, I do love John Cusack though.
I recommend The Outsiders...one of my fave films ever, all star cast (when they were bairns) and it's a Coppola (that no one has ever seen for some reason)
Cusack is a SUBLIME actor...one of my favourites (and he's pretty nice to look at too).
I've seen 'The Outsiders'..another favourite 'rites of passage' type films of mine. Loads of virtuoso perfomances (and very Jimmy Dean). I'd add a recommendation to Leccy's.

Cheers, China. I'm a real movie geek though and like to stroke my collection of DVDs occasionally.

Not bothered about what actors or actresses are in the film.
If you like a film that's a bit unusual, and has elements of all those things you mention plus a big dollop of fantasy fairy tale, try
The company of Wolves - one of my favourites
Marley & Me
Ps - I love you
Shawshank Redemption
Green Mile
The last Castle
Wanted
are to name a few, my mind has gone blank but I have seen lot's and lot's of films!.

reminds me of a really funny bit in Queer as Folk when they are all watching a video and someone hands over tissues. You think it is one of those films they are watching.
Turns out to be Dianas funeral

Forgot about U Turn, caught the last hour or so. Another one worth a second look, quite surprised at the number of stars in it.
A mention of From dusk till dawn, apart from Clooney playing a bad guy, the bar scene was something I would never would have predicted!
