I know what one 12yr old would think:  the daughter of some v good friends of mine who was born with male genitalia. I can remember vividly how, as soon as she could express it ,(when she was v. v. young,) her knowing that she was in the wrong body, wanting to be called a girl's name/ only wanting to wear dresses etc. etc. The ignorance and intolerance that she, her parents and her brother have had to face is heartbreaking I don't want to say too much about it on here, because her parents have found a way to try and protect her and v few people currently know about her being born apparently as a male. I just wish that some of the people who express such bigotry could walk just a yard, never mind a mile in her/their shoes.
