I went for Daniel Craig .........I've only ever watched 2 Bond films - Live and Let Die (Roger Moore) in about 1975 and Skyfall a few weeks ago.

Can't stand Roger Moore so it's Daniel Craig for me.

Whatever he may be in real life, Sean is a darn good actor 

I've gone for Sean, but would have joined Soozy in choosing Daniel Craig had a got a second choice.

The producers had wanted Cary Grant to play the part as Ian Fleming had him in mind as Bond but Grant turned down the part as he thought he was too old so the producers chose Connery.

Let me quote Sean Connery,

"I don't think there's anything particularly wrong in hitting a woman"

Pierce for me (i like them TDH), couldn't vote for connery, there is something distasteful about him

What probably threw me is two things, one I don't now the gender of Elf Machel and two I don't tend to think of the Bond actors in fancy-able terms.

But to coin a phrase "by jove you've got it", I think 

Bond is English, you can't get more 'Bond Englishness' than Roger.

Can't stand him as a person but Sean was the best Bond - not that I watch them any more as I've seen them hundreds of times 

Sorry if this comes across as being a bit pedantic, but Bond is not English. His father (Andrew Bond) is Scottish and mother (Monique Delacroix-Bond) is Swiss.

His nationality from the books is noted as British.
