Challengers and Hicks in Dartford was great...you could get them to play stuff before you decided whether you wnated to buy and book concert tickets there too!

And the blokes in there got to know what you liked so you'd go in for one thing and they'd get you to listen to stuff they thought you might like and you'd end up spending double.

Bloody hell Prometheus, when I read your post it was just like looking in a mirror. I applaud your bold approach to musical taste. There have been some excellent post (I have not read them all). I especially like "My Girls Pussy". I am probably not the first to say that !!!

PMSL nope. It was a buy/sell kinda shop. You took your old records in, they gave you cash in exchange and had booths where you could listen to and buy other people's music as well
