Right! I'm having this last drink, and if I'm suffering at work tomorrow, I'd like you all to know...it's all your faults! Good job the boss is still off on holiday
I high time we had some Kraftwerk.
I bring you.. The Model.
I bring you.. The Model.
And to say goodnight...i thought I'd use this version rather than the Mama Cass or Wayne King (yes truly!) version.

Blancmange - Living on the Ceiling.
Awww, I used to hang around with Neil Arthur back in the day. Gary Farrow was involved with the band and he lived in the same village as me. Quite a few Radio 1 dj's and producers used to come down on a Saturday lunchtime as they'd be left alone to get rat faced. August Darnell (Kid Creole) zoot suited from head to toe used to put in an appearance regularly too.
Since we're posting 80's stuff (lots of it I recognise and love) I think this one is an absolute must.

Hi EC. I class myself as fine if I can still punctuate. If that's gone, I've gone

Cosmopolitan - I am green with envy. Blancmange were one of the bands I followed faithfully back in the day. Own everything they produced just about.Reference:

I think we have. I noticed the whistle test version but thought I'd go for the classic version. I was a Numan fan but when I listen to some of his other stuff now I can't for the life of me think why Reference:

P.S. - Also saw Gary Numan perform the whole of the Replicas album last year.

I quite like his newer Nine Inch Nails influenced music, but I do prefer the older classic albums like Replicas, Pleasure Principle, Telekon and Warriors.

LOL no, I work in reception/admin for a training company. I'm just hoping we don't get a lot of people turning up for their modules tomorrow

If anyone asks, tell them you were working on an important piece of on-line research .

Isn't it awful but..........we all treated him like any other regular in the bar.I don't know if it was ignorance (doubful, cos we knew his stuff) or just trying to look 'cool'.
He was a really nice fella. And I was obviously a total fool!
PS.. My fave was Blind Vision.
After Numan we had to have some John Foxx.

He definitely produced some excellent stuff but his albums had a lot of fillers. He only made albums in the later years to pay for a new plane after he'd just crashed one lol.

I think that is good that you did not fuss around him. Glad to hear he was nice, makes it all the better for liking his band and music. My fave is Game Above My Head, not an obvious choice, but great song.
I currently hang around a few pubs which sees famous band members come in from time to time. I don't acknowledge them, just let them go about there business.

Shhhhhhhhhhhh.
I have a wobble board too.
One more from me tonight ~ I love Kate Bush's voice and this song has special meaning for me
Surely this has to be the most unforgettable song of the eighties? I can't find the Live aid video that accompanied it but I'm sure it was this that accounted for a lo
tt of the donations to Live Aid. Heartbreaking,
