the only 2 tier pub I can remember was Cagneys but there was another bigger one next door and the name escapes me. Sam Weller's was my favourite pub in town I even remember the old doorman - we used to call him tithead cos he had a mole/lump right on top of his head

Yeah that's the one I was thinking of! Can't remember the name of the one next door, but don't think I went in there that often.

It's a small world isn't it? Sam's was my favourite pub, spent many happy hours in there.

The Bar St Martin under the Rotunda was ok as well on a Friday night ~ went there a few times, they used to play some good music and it wasn't a long walk to our bus stop either.
