Mostly for me it was Faces at Five Ways, Peppermint Place also at Five Ways, both have gone now, Millionaire's in the City Centre and the Dome when that opened in '85.
OOoooo I remember falling out of those clubs in my younger years as well as Liberties, Edwards, Boogies and in later years The Sanctuary. There is a big night club in Digbeth at the back of the Custard Factory but I can't remember the name of it
Hi Tension...I had the t-shirt with the logo all in glitter!!!

Pengy, you're scareing (sp) me now!
I am really surprised that no one has put up any Johnny Cash.
So, I will and this is a brilliant version.
HURT
More heartbreaking when you know JC did not have long to live.

Ooohhh yes how could I forget Liberty's and Edwards no 7 ect and Boogies, Snobs and of course the pubs like Sam's, Kaleidoscope and Flares that moved (I think) on to Broad Street. Can you remember what the big pub/bar was called that was on Temple Row off New Street? It was on two levels and all the fellah's used to stand upstairs and look down on the ladies.. we used to go wandering around the top level and dance up there as there was more fellah's and it was quieter than downstairs! The Vine(?) next to Sam's and the upstairs part was like a late night bar ~ right tatty place but played some good music.Sam's (Sam Wellers) was where I always went Thursday, Saturday and Sunday nights, loved the place and the atmosphere in there
I know the club you mean, but I can't remember the name either, and Mr Pink has gone to bed else I would ask him as he drops people off there at weekends.

the only 2 tier pub I can remember was Cagneys but there was another bigger one next door and the name escapes me. Sam Weller's was my favourite pub in town I even remember the old doorman - we used to call him tithead cos he had a mole/lump right on top of his head
I read somewhere that Steps were after reforming. The black guy in the band was keen on getting the band back on the road. Jumping on the bandwagon or what you think?

There wasn't a black bloke in Steps???
